Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menggambarkan tentang criteria ketuntasan minimal, hasil ujian sekolah dan ujian nasional berdasarkan sekolah negeri dan swasta, jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam dan ilmu pengetahuan sosial (2) menggambarkan tentang hubungan antara kriteria ketuntasan miminal terhadap hasil ujian sekolah dan ujian nasional berdasarkan sekolah negeri dan swasta, jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam dan ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 Agustus 2010 hingga 18 September 2010 dan dikumpulkan dari tiga Sekolah Menengah Atas di Tarakan, yaitu: SMAN 1 Tarakan, SMAN 2 Tarakan dan SMA Hang Tuah Tarakan pada periode 2009 dan 2010. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan cluster random technique. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasi. Data diproses dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 16 dan mengambil kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil statistik tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kriteria ketuntasan minimal terhadap hasil ujian sekolah di sekolah negeri tetapi tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kriteria ketuntasan minimal terhadap hasil ujian sekolah di sekolah swasta, jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam dan ilmu pengetahuan sosial. (2) tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kriteria ketuntasan minimal terhadap hasil ujian nasional di sekolah swasta dan negeri baik untuk jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam maupun ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kriteria ketuntasan minimal memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat terhadap hasil ujian sekolah di sekolah negeri dan hubungannya lemah dan sangat lemah di sekolah swasta serta jurusan IPA dan IPS. Penelitian ini juga menyimpulkan bahwa kriteria ketuntasan minimal memiliki hubungan yang sangat lemah terhadap hasil ujian nasional di sekolah negeri, sekolah swasta, dan pada jurusan ilmu pengetahuan sosial tetapi hubungannya lemah di jurusan ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Faktor kontribusi kriteria ketuntasan minimal terhadap hasil ujian sekolah adalah 89% di sekolah negeri, 1% di sekolah swasta, 48% di jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam dan 57% di jurusan ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Sementara itu, faktor kontribusi kriteria ketuntasan minimal terhadap hasil ujian nasional adalah 12% di sekolah negeri, 3% sekolah swasta, 1% pada jurusan IPA dan 51% pada jurusan IPS. Sementara faktor-faktor lain tidak disebutkan dalam penelitian ini.

This study were conducted to (1) describe about standard minimum grade, the result of school examination and the result of national examination based on public and private schools, science and social program (2) describe the correlation between standard minimum grade toward the result of school examination and the result of national examination based on public and private school, science and social program. The data were conducted from August 30 th , 2010 till September 18 th , 2010 and were collected from 3 senior high schools in Tarakan, they are: SMAN 1 Tarakan, SMAN 2 Tarakan and SMA Hang Tuah Tarakan in the period of time 2009 and 2010. The schools were chosen by using cluster random technique. The method that used in this study was descriptive correlation. The data were processed and analyzed by using SPSS version 16 and taking the conclusion based on the statistic result. The result of the study shows that: (1) there is significant correlation between standard minimum grade and the results of school examination in public schools but there is no significant correlation between standard minimum grade and the result of school examination in private school, social and science program. (2) there is no significant correlation between standard minimum grade and the result of national examination in public and private schools including science and social program. This study concluded that standard minimum grade had strong relationship toward the result of school examination in public school but there is a weak and very weak relationship in private schools, science and social program. This study also concluded that standard minimum grade had a very weak relationship toward the result of national examination in public school, private schools, and science program but there is a weak relationship in social program. The factor contribution of standard minimum grade toward the result of school examination were 89% in public schools, 1% in private schools, 48% in science program and 57% in social program. Meanwhile, the factor contribution of standard minimum grade toward the result of national examination were 12% in public schools, 3% in private schools, 1% in science program and 51% in social program. While the other factors were not mention in this study.
