Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar ipa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan melalui model pembelajaran Probing Prompting. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII-4 SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. Pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan tes, lembar observasi peserta didik, lembar observasi guru dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, model pembelajaran Probing Prompting dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan bagi siswa kelas VII-4 SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I skor presentase sebesar 62,5% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 87,5%. Pada penelitian ini hasil belajar peserta didik secara klasikal meningkat dari siklus I sampai siklus II dan mencapai indicator keberhasilan yang di targetkan oleh peneliti yaitu 85% dan di katakan tuntas belajarnya secara klasikal.

The study aims to Improving IPA learning outcomes in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan through the learning model of Probing Prompting. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The population in this study is all students of class VII-4 SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. Data collection is done by tests, observation sheet of learners, teacher observation sheet and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, the learning model of Probing Prompting can improved students learning outcomes on materials organizational systems of life for students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. Student learning outcomes in cycle I percentage score of 62,5% and increased in the second cycle to be 87,5%. In this research, the study of students classically increased from cycle I to cycle II and achieve the indicator of success in the target by the reasearcher is 85% and said to complete the classical learning.
