Abstract
Penelitian ini mengenai analisis peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran anak pada masa pandemi kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran anak pada masa pandemi kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Orang tua adalah orang yang paling bertanggung jawab dalam mendidik anak. Peran orang tua sebagai pendidik dalam membantu guru melaksanakan pembelajaran dari rumah menimbulkan pengalaman-pengalaman baru terhadap pembelajaran anak pada masa pandemi. Peran orang tua sangat penting,dimana orang tua beradaptasi dalam berperan membantu, mendampingi serta memberikan pengertian kepada anak bahwa mereka harus tetap belajar seperti biasa meskipun sistem daring (dalam jaringan). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey yang bersifat deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah 254. Peneliti menggunakan skala analisis peran orang tua dengan skala Guttman. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 72 orang tua siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran anak pada masa pandemi kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan mencapai 40% yaitu cukup, artinya peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran anak pada masa pandemi butuh ditingkatkan lagi, karena masih banyak indikator-indikator peran orang tua yang berada pada kategori kurang.

This research analyzed the role of parents to their children's learning processes during the Covid-19 pandemic at Grade VII of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan.The purpose of this research was to figure out the role of parents to their children's learning processes during the Covid-19 pandemic at Grade VII of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Parents are those mostly responsible for their children's education. The role of parents as educators to help teachers perform the learning processes from home has created new experiences for children's learning processes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The role of parents is greatly important, in which parents should adapt with their role in helping, assisting, and providing understanding to their children who should continuously learn as usual even through online system (network). This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey type. The research population included all parents of Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan in the academic year of 2021/2022 with a total population of 254 students. The researcher used a parental role analysis scale with Guttman scale. The research samples were 72 parents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The obtained data were then analyzed using a descriptive-statistical analysis technique. The research results show that the analysis conducted on the role of parents to their children's learning processes during the Covid-19 pandemic at Grade VII of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan reached 40% and classified into medium category, meaning that the role of parents to their children's learning processes during the Covid-19 pandemic should be improved because many parent role indicators were still classified into low category.
