Abstract
Kunyit (Curcuma longa) merupakan tanaman herbal yang sejak lama digunakan sebagai bumbu makanan dan obat. Kandungan terbesar dalam kunyit adalah kurkumin yakni sebesar 94%. Kurkumin bersifat sebagai antioksidan dan dapat diterapkan dalam bidang akuakultur salah satunya dicampur dalam pakan ikan karena dapat meningkatkan metabolisme dan penyerapan nutrisi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung kunyit sebagai bahan alternatif campuran pakan ikan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan larva ikan lele. Larva ikan lele yang digunakan berumur 3 hari dan dipelihara pada akuarium sebanyak 12 buah yang berukuran 30 x 30 x 30 cm dengan padat tebar 25 ekor per akuarium. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan pakan yang diberikan dengan campuran tepung kunyit yaitu P1 Induk diberi penambahan 2,4 gr/kg kunyit dan pada larva penambahan 2,4 gr/kg kunyit, P2 Induk diberi penambahan 2,4 gr/kg kunyit dan pada larva diberi pakan biasa, P3 Induk diberi penambahan 4,8 gr/kg kunyit dan pada larva diberi pakan biasa, P4 Induk diberi penambahan 4,8 gr/kg kunyit dan pada larva penambahan 4,8 gr/kg kunyit. Pertumbuhan terbaik larva ikan lele terdapat pada perlakuan P4 yaitu dengan pertambahan panjang sebesar 1.31 cm dan peningkatan berat sebesar 0.0604 gr. Data pengukuran kualitas air dalam nilai yang baik yaitu suhu 27-28o C dan nilai pH 6-7. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pemberian tepung kunyit yang mengandung kurkumin yang dicampurkan pada pakan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan larva ikan lele sehingga tepung kunyit dijadikan bahan campuran pakan.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is an herbal plant that has long been used as a spice in food and medicine. The largest content in turmeric is curcumin, which is 94%. Curcumin is an antioxidant and can be applied in aquaculture, one of which is mixed in fish feed because it can increase metabolism and nutrient absorption. This research was conducted to determine the effect of adding turmeric flour as an alternative ingredient in fish feed mixtures to increase the growth of catfish larvae. The catfish larvae used were 3 days old and kept as many as 12 pieces measuring 30 x 30 x 30 cm with a stocking density of 25 fish per time. The study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The feed treatment was given with a mixture of turmeric flour, namely P1 Parent was given the addition of 2.4 g/kg turmeric and the larvae were added 2.4 g/kg turmeric, P2 Parent was given the addition of 2.4 g/kg turmeric and the larvae were given regular feed. , P3 Parent was given the addition of 4.8 g/kg turmeric and the larvae were given the addition of ordinary feed, P4 Parent was given the addition of 4.8 g/kg turmeric and the larvae were given the addition of 4.8 g/kg turmeric. The best growth of catfish larvae was found in P4 treatment, namely with an increase in length of 1.31 cm and an increase in weight of 0.0604 gr. Measurement of water quality data in good value, namely temperature 27-28o C and pH value 6-7. Based on the results of the study, giving turmeric flour containing curcumin mixed in feed was able to increase the growth of catfish larvae so that turmeric flour was used as a feed mixture.
