Abstract

Penelitin ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SDS Muhammdiyah 2 Tarakan tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Sumber data informan dari penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas VI, guru Bahasa Inggris, peserta didik, kepala sekolah, dan pengawas sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pada saat di lapangan, peneliti terlebih dahulu meminta izin kepada informan ataupun pihak sekolah untuk menentukan waktu wawancara dan sistem wawancara. Peneliti melakukan wawancara secara tatap muka dan tetap mematuhi protokol-protokol kesehatan pada era adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru di SDS Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan (1) telah menerapkan sikap mandiri dengan menunjukkan sikap bertanggung jawab dalam menjalankan tugasnya; (2) guru telah menerapkan sikap daya saing dengan menciptakan peserta didik yang berprestasi di bidangnya; (3) guru telah menerapkan sikap optimis kepada peserta didik dengan selalu memberikan semangat dalam proses pembelajaran dan guru mampu mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi; (4) guru telah menerapkan sikap produktif dalam diri sendiri maupun dalam pekerjaan; (5) namun, guru belum maksimal dalam menerapkan sikap berinovatif ataupun berkreatif dalam proses pembelajaran pada masa adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Adapun dampaknya yaitu guru belum mampu untuk meningkatkan prestasi peserta didik dalam perlombaan karya ilmiah remaja. Selain itu, guru masih berusaha dalam membimbing peserta didik mengikuti lomba-lomba mata pelajaran seperti di ajang olimpiade. Namun, guru telah memberikan dampak yang baik dalam membimbing peserta didik di bidang prestasi akademik pada cara-cara berfikir. Peserta didik mampu menjuarai perlombaan menyusun kata dalam Bahasa Inggris se Kota Tarakan.

This research used a descriptive-qualitative method conducted at SDS Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research data sources were Grade VI teachers, English teachers, students, principal, and school supervisor. The data were collected using interview, observation, and document studies. The data were then qualitatively analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The researcher first asked permission from the informants or school to determine the interview time and system. The researcher then conducted face-to-face interviews and obeyed the health protocols during this new habit adaptation period. The results showed that teachers at SDS Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan: (1) had implemented their independent attitude by showing their responsible attitude in performing their duties; (2) had implemented their competitive attitude by creating students with achievements in their fields, (3) had implemented their optimistic attitude to the students by always giving supports and spirits during the learning processes and were able to overcome the problems faced, (4) had implemented their productive attitude for themselves and at work: (5) however, had not maximally implemented their innovative or creative attitudes during the learning processes in this new habit adaptation period. Thus, the teachers had not been able to improve the achievements of students in various youth scientific competitions In addition, teachers had not optimally mentored the students to participate in various subject competitions, such as Olympics. However, the teachers had positively impacted the students in their academic achievements, especially related to their ways of thinking.
