Abstract
Hutan mangrove merupakan salah satu habitat kepiting bakau yang dimanfaatkan sebagai daerah pemijahan dan daerah pembesaran. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kerapatan mangrove terhadap kelimpahan kepiting Bakau di Kawasan Konservasi Mangrove dan Kepiting Kelurahan Pamusian Kota Tarakan. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 (Tiga) titik stasiun dan masing-masing stasiun terdiri dari 3 plot. Pada setiap plot masing-masing di pasang 2 buah bubu lipat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kerapatan jenis mangrove tertinggi dari jenis mangrove Rhizophora mucronata sedangkan kerapatan terendah dari jenis mangrove Lumnitzera racemosa. Kelimpahan kepiting bakau tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 3 dan kelimpahan terendah terdapat pada stasiun 2. Korelasi antara kerapatan mangrove terhadap kelimpahan kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) didapatkan korelasi tingkat pohon dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,626 (Kuat), tingkat anakan dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,041 (Sangat lemah) dan tingkat semai dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,227 (Sangat lemah). Pengaruh kerapatan mangrove terhadap kelimpahan kepiting bakau menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh nilai R2 sebesar 0,65 yang artinya hubungan kerapatan mangrove terhadap kelimpahan kepiting bakau tergolong kuat yaitu sebesar 65% sedangkan 35% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya.

Mangrove forest is one of the mud crab habitats which is positioned as a spawning and rearing area. This study aimed to analyze the relationship of mangrove density to the abundance of mud crabs in the Conservation Area of Pamusian Sub-District, Tarakan City. The sampling method used purposive sampling. The Observations were conducted at three station points and each station consisted of three plots. In each plot, two folding traps were installed. The results showed that the highest density of mangrove species was from Rhizophora Mucronata, while the lowest density was from Lumnitzera Racemosa. The highest abundance of mud crabs was at station three and the lowest abundance was at station two. The correlation between mangrove density and abundance of mud crabs (Scylla Serrata) was found to have a three-level correlation with an R2 value of 0.626 (strong), a tiller level with an R2 value of 0.041 (very weak), and a seedling level with an R2 value of 0.227 (very weak). The effect of mangrove density on the abundance of mangrove crabs using a simple linear regression test obtained an R2 value of 0.65, which means that the relationship between mangrove density and abundance of mud crabs was strong at 65% while 35% was influenced by other factors.
