Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kemandirian belajar, motivasi dan gender terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs DDI Tarakan. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kolerasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel berjumlah 58 siswa kelas VIII MTs DDI Tarakan, menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Data diperoleh berdasarkan skor dari angket kemandirian dan angket motivasi serta nilai tugas, ulangan harian dan nilai UAS, kemudian dianalisa dengan Uji Kolerasi Sederhana, Uji Regresi Berganda dan Uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,045, terdapat hubungan antara motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,036 dan terdapat pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar, motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs DDI Tarakan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,010 serta terdapat perbedaan antara gender terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs DDI Tarakan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,034.

This research aims at uncovering the relationship of independent learnig, motivation, and gender with learning achievement of Grade VIII studenst of MTs DDI Tarakan. This study used correlational research with a quantitave approach. The research population and sample were 58 Grade VIII student at MTs DDI Tarakan, using a saturated sampling teachnique in which all populatioon was taken as the research samples. The data were obtained based n scores from questionnaire on independence and questionnaire on motivation assignment score , daily quiz score, and final examination score which were then analyzed using simple correlation test, multiple regression test, and independent sample T-Test. The research results show that (1) there was a relationship of independent learning with learning achievement and score at the significance level of 0,045; (2) there was a relationship of motivation with learning achievement at the significance level of 0,036; (3) there was a relationship of independent learning and motivation with learning achievement at the significant level of 0,010; and (4) there was a relationship of gender with learning achievement with the significant level of 0,034.
