Penelitian ini dalam bentuk Pra-eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini, para peneliti Mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan menggunakan Teknik Two Stay Two Stray. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas TKJ yang terdiri dari 24 siswa di SMKN 2 Tarakan tahun akademik 2019/2020. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berbicara yang meliputi pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, peneliti menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk menganalisis data dan SPSS 24.0 untuk analisis statistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara pretest dan posttest. Itu dibuktikan dengan hasil skor rata-rata siswa. Nilai rata-rata siswa dalam pretest adalah 55,17 dan 63,54 pada posttest. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan skor rata-rata siswa adalah 8,37 poin. Skor posttest lebih tinggi daripada skor pretest. Itu menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Hasil uji sampel berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa uji-t (-5,590) lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (2,064). Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti juga menemukan ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari penggunaan teknik TSTS dalam pembelajaran. Teknik ini mampu meningkatkan antusiasme siswa, membantu siswa memahami teks dengan mudah, dan membangun pemikiran kritis siswa.Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik TSTS menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman berbicara pada siswa kelas sembilan di SMKN 2 Tarakan.

This research is in the form of pre-experiment. In this study, the researchers found out the difference before and after being taught using the Two Stay Two Stray Technique. The subjects of this study were TKJ class students consisting of 24 students at SMKN 2 Tarakan in the 2019/2020 academic year. The instrument used is a speaking test which includes pre-test and post-test. In addition, the researcher used descriptive analysis to analyze the data and SPSS 24.0 for statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest. It is evidenced by the results of the average score of students. The mean scores of students in the pretest were 55.17 and 63.54 in the posttest. This shows that the increase in the average score of students is 8.37 points. The posttest score is higher than the pretest score. It shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. Paired sample test results show that the t-test (-5.590) is higher than the t-table (2.064). In this study, the researcher also found that there was a significant difference in the use of the TSTS technique in learning. This technique is able to increase students' enthusiasm, help students understand texts easily, and build students' critical thinking. So it can be concluded that the TSTS technique is an effective strategy to improve speaking comprehension in ninth grade students at SMKN 2 Tarakan.
