Studi Morfometrik Dan Meristik Pampus chinensis, Pampus argenteus, danPampus niger menggunakan alat tangkap trawl di Perairan Pulau Bunyu jarang di lakukan. Di lihat dari segi nilai ekonomis ikan bawal memiliki nilai harga jual, dan kandungan protein cukup tinggi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui Morfometrik Dan Meristik P.chinensis, P.argenteus dan P.niger dari hasil tangkapan trawl di Perairan Pulau Bunyu. Penelitian di lakukan selama 2 bulan (bulan purnama air laut). Metode penelitan yang digunakan deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan penentuan lokasi purposive sampling. Hasil tangkapan nelayan trawl berupaP.chinensis, P.argenteus, dan P.niger. Pengambilan sampel ikan sebanyak 10 ekor dengan menghitung persentase dari proporsi 10 karakter morfometrik. Tiap spesies dilakukan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 3 ekor untuk mendapatkan parameter Morfometrik Dan Meristik. Metode identifikasi berdasarakan 10 karakter yaitu Panjang total, Panjang standar, Lebar mata, Lebar badan, Lebar ekor, Panjang kepala, Panjang sirip pectoral, Panjang sirip dorsal, Panjang sirip anal dan Panjang sirip caudal. Metode identifikasi meristik yaitu Bentuk tubuh, Pola warna, Bentuk moncong dan Bentuk ekor. Hasil penelitian mofometrik P.chinensis yaitu panjang total 15-19 cm, panjang standar 11-14,5 cm dan lebar badan 9-12 cm. P.argenteus yaitu panjang total 16-19,5 cm, panjang standar 10-13 cm dan lebar badan 8-9 cm. dan P.niger yaitu panjang total 16-17,5 cm, panjang standar 11-13 cm dan lebar badan 8-9 cm. Hasil peneletian ketiga jenis ikan bawal berdasarkan ciri meristik memiliki bentuk tubuh yang sama yaitu pipih, dimana perbedaan ketiga jenis ikan tersebut yaitu, pola warna, bentuk moncong dan bentuk ekor.

Morphometric and meristic studies of Pampus chinensis, Pampus argenteus, and Pampus niger using trawl fishing gear in the waters of Bunyu Island are rarely carried out. In terms of economic value, pomfret has a selling price value, and the protein content is quite high. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphometric and meristic of P. chinensis, P. argenteus and P. niger from trawl catches in the waters of Bunyu Island. The study was conducted for 2 months (full moon sea water). The research method used is descriptive quantitative, by determining the location of purposive sampling. The catches of trawler fishermen are P. chinensis, P. argenteus, and P. niger. Sampling of 10 fish by calculating the percentage of the proportion of 10 morphometric characters. For each species, 3 samples were taken to obtain morphometric and meristic parameters. The identification method is based on 10 characters, namely total length, standard length, eye width, body width, tail width, head length, pectoral fin length, dorsal fin length, anal fin length and caudal fin length. Meristic identification methods are body shape, color pattern, muzzle shape and tail shape. The results of the P. chinensis mofometric research were total length 15-19 cm, standard length 11-14.5 cm and body width 9-12 cm. P. argenteus is a total length of 16-19,5 cm, a standard length of 10-13 cm and a body width of 8-9 cm. and P. niger with total length 16-17.5 cm, standard length 11-13 cm and body width 8-9 cm. The results of the study of the three types of pomfret based on meristic characteristics have the same body shape, namely flat, where the differences between the three types of fish are, the color pattern, the shape of the snout and the shape of the tail.
