Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dimana data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung besarnya value added rumput laut di Kelurahan Pantai Amal Kota Tarakan. Pengambilan sampel ini dengan metode sampel jenuh yang dimana semua anggota populasi digunakan menjadi sampel, sampel ini sebanyak 20 orang untuk petani rumput laut dan 6 orang untuk home industry. Analisis nilai tambah yang digunakan adalah analisis nilai tambah metode Hayami yang menunjukkan nilai tambah rumput laut mentah dan rumput laut yang diolah menjadi produk makanan, dimana rumput laut mentah nilai tambahnya sebesar Rp. 218.986.496,929 dengan rasio 97,178% dari hasil produksi secara keseluruhan sebesar 1.730,400 kg/tahun dan rumput laut yang diolah menjadi produk makanan sebesar Rp. 4.404.089,800 dengan rasio 99,711% dari hasil produksi secara keseluruhan sebesar 24,667 kg/tahun.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study where the data in this study were obtained from a questionnaire. The purpose of this study was to calculate the value added of seaweed in the Pantai Amal Village of Tarakan City. This sample was taken with a saturated sample method in which all members of the population were used as samples, the samples were 20 people for seaweed farmers and 6 people for home industry. The value added analysis used was the added value analysis of the Hayami method which shows the added value of raw seaweed and seaweed which is processed into food products, where the added value of raw seaweed is Rp.218.986.496,929 with a ratio of 97.178% of the overall production of 1,730,400 kg / year and seaweed processed into food products of Rp. 4.404.089,800 with a ratio of 99,711% of the overall production of 24,667 kg / year.
