Problematika daftar pemilih ini terus berulang bahkan pada Pilkada serentak tahun 2020, kompleksitas probelmatika ini ditambah dengan merebaknya Corona Virus Disease 19 (Covid-19), yang tentu saja kebijakan lockdown atau social distancing berimplikasi pada kegiatan atau tahapan pemutakhiran data pemilih. Kabupaten Nunukan merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Kalimantan Utara yang juga melaksanakan Pilkada serentak tahun 2020. Komisi Pemlihan Umum Kabupaten Nunukan telah menetapkan Daftar Pemilih Tetap Pemilihan Kepala Daerah sebesar 117,763 pemilih. Akan tetapi pada hari pemungutan suara masih terdapat pemilih yang belum terdaftar sebagai pemilih. Salah satu kecamatan yang teridentifikasi terdapat pemilih yang tidak terdaftar sebagai pemilih yaitu Kecamatan Sebatik Barat Desa Bambangan. Kajian Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengawasan Hak pilih yang dilakukan Bawaslu Nunukan dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah serentak Wilayah Perbatasan Desa Bambangan Kecamatan Sebatik Barat Provinsi Kalimantan Utara dan hambatan Hukum Dalam Pelaksanaan Pengawasan hak pilih dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah serentak Wilayah Perbatasan Desa Bambangan Kecamatan Sebatik Barat Provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan perlu adanya kerjasama dan sinergisitas peneyelenggara dari tingkat pusat sampai ketingkat daerah yang berbatasan langsung dengan negara tetangga dan seluruh stakeholder atau lembaga negara baik didalan dan diluar negara yang berkepentingan untuk menuntaskan permasalahan hak pilih didaerah perbatasan Indonesia dan Malaysia khususnya Kabupaten Nunukan yang keberadaan Batas wilayahnya berbatasan langsung baik darat maupun laut dan seluruh aktifitas masyarakat yang banyak bekerja di Malaysia. Dalam sebuah Negara Demokrasi Daftar pemilih yang akurat, komperhensif dan mutakhir merupakan prasyarat mutlak yang harus dipenuhi dalam pelaksanaan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah. Namun, jika pendaftaran pemilih tidak dilakukan dengan baik, banyak warga Negara yang akan kehilangan hak politik. Sedangkan, setiap warga negara dijamin hak politiknya tanpa diskriminasi, demikian juga nilai suara setiap warga negara adalah sama.

Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a need for cooperation and synergy between organizers from the central level to the regional level which is directly adjacent to neighboring countries and all stakeholders or state institutions both inside and outside the country with an interest in resolving the issue of voting rights in the border areas of Indonesia and Malaysia, especially Nunukan Regency which The existence of its territorial boundaries directly adjacent to both land and sea and all the activities of the people who work a lot in Malaysia. In a democratic country, an accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date voter list is an absolute prerequisite that must be met in the implementation of regional head elections. However, if voter registration is not carried out properly, many citizens will lose their political rights. Meanwhile, every citizen is guaranteed political rights without discrimination, as well as the value of the vote of every citizen is the same.
