Abstract
Sedangkan foodplant kupu-kupu ditemukan sebanyak 6 spesies diantaranya, Ixora sp, Hibiscus rosa sinensis, Allamanda cathartica, Melastoma malabathricum, Cyperus rotundus dan Ageratum conyzoides.
This study aimed to analyze the preferences and abundance of butterflies in Borneo Tarakan and Taman Anggrek Research Forests and to produce the feasibility of a booklet based on the study of butterfly preference and abundance as a source of learning for high school students. This type of research was Research and Development (R & D) using the development model of Borg & Gall (1983) which was only carried out until the fifth stage. The results of the study of butterfly preference and abundance in the UBT Research Forest and Anggek Park. Butterfly sampling is conducted from August to October 2018 with the standart walk method (Pollard). The results obtained 14 species with the percentage of butterfly species from 4 families, including the Papilionidae family (Papilio demoleous 6%, Papilio memnon 10%), family Nymphalidae (Amathusia phidippus 2%, Hypolimnas bolina 4%, Lexias dirtea 6%, Nepthis hylas 8 %, Junonia athletic 8%, Junonia orithya 14%, Acreae violae 8% and Mycaelesis horsfieldii 6%, families Pieriedae (Appias lybhitea 10%, Eurema blanda 8% and Leptosia nina 6%) and families Lycaenidae (Hypolycaena erylus 2%). Preference is the tendency towards host plants and food plants. The butterfly host found as many as 5 species including, Bauhinia purpurea, Syzygium oleana, Scorodocarpus borneensis, Syzygium aquenum, and Hopea said. While the butterfly foodplant was found as many as 6 species including, Ixora sp, Hibiscus rosa sinensis, Allamanda cathartica, Melastoma malabathricum, Cyperus rotundus and Ageratum conyzoides. The results of this booklets based on validation scores from material experts with a percentage of 80% (feasible), 88% media experts (very feasible) and a percentage of practitioner experts at 97.3% (very feasible) and 91.4% student response test (Very interesting). The conclusion of this research is very feasible to be used as a source of learning for high school students.
