
Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Treffinger Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas VIII SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan

Abstract
Pada penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi exsperiment design dengan desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control Group design. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran treffinger dan variabel terikat penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu kelas Nusaybah sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas Maryam sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini melalui tes tertulis dan dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial untuk menganalisis data awal dan data akhir dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 22.0 for windows. Hasil dari analisis deksriptif diperoleh bahwa rata-rata nilai posstest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 76,53 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 67,13 dan menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Adapun dari hasil uji indepenent samples t-test dengan taraf signifikan 5% (α = 0,05) diperoleh p-value sebesar 0,002 dan t_hitung sebesar 2,962. Dengan demikian H_0 di tolak dan H_1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran treffinger berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.

This present research aimed at determining the effect of Treffinger learning model on students’ ability of understanding mathematical concepts at class VIII of SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. A quasi-experimental design with a posstest-only control group design was employed. The independent variable of this research was the Treffinger learning model and the dependent variable was the students’ of SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan were participated in this research where the Nusaybah class as the experimental class and the Maryam class as the control class. The data which were gained from written test and documentation, were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis through SPSS 22.0 software for windows. The result of the descriptive anaylisis showed that the mean score of posstest in the experimental class was 76.53, while in the control class was 67.13. This indicated that the mean score of the experimental class was greater than that of the control class. The result of the independent samples t-test at the significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) was obtained p-value of 0.002 and t-test of 2.962. This, H_0 was rejected and H_1 was accepted. It could be concluded that the Treffinger learning model had an effect on students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. Keywords: Treffinger Learning Model, Understanding Mathematical Concepts
