Abstract
Kelong (Guiding Barrier) merupakan alat tangkap ikan pasif terpasang di pesisir pantai, terdiri dari beberapa bagian yang memanfaatkan ruaya ikan di perairan pantai. Guiding barrier terdiri atas bagian pagar berjaring (penaju), memiliki dua sayap dan bagian kantong akhir. Umumnya ikan yang tertangkap di guiding barrier karena dalam pergerakannya di pantai terbentur penaju dan bergerak menuju bagian sayap dan terperangkap pada bagian kantong akhir. Informasi/data ilmiah terkait hasil tangkapan dengan ragam alat tangkap, sangat diperlukan sebagai dasar kebijakan pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan pada suatu perairan. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui komposisi jenis dan ukuran (panjang dan berat) ikan hasil tangkapan guiding barrier di perairan Juata Laut. Metode penelitian menggunakan motode deskriptif kuantitatif selama Januari – Februari 2021, dengan purposive sampling selama 8 kali pengambilan sampel. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 22 jenis ikan dengan total 581 ekor. Ikan belanak (Mugil sp.) merupakan sampel ikan dominan tertangkap. Komposisi ukuran panjang sampel hasil tangkapan utama guiding barrier yang dominan tertangkap pada kisaran 13.47 – 22.57 cm (ikan kakap merah / Lutjanus sp.), 22.39 – 26.97 cm (ikan kuwe / Caranx sp.) dan 103.40 – 155.32 cm (ikan belanak / Mugil sp.). Komposisi ukuran berat yang dominan tertangkap pada sampel Lutjanus sp. (59.78 – 297.84 gr), sampel Caranx sp. (58.47 – 94.16 gr) dan sampel ikan Megalops sp. (103.40 – 155.32 gr). Hasil analisa hubungan panjang berat pada sampel utama guiding barrier menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan allometrik positif pada sampel Lutjanus sp. dan allometrik negatif pada sampel Mugil sp. dan Caranx sp.

Guiding Barrier (Kelong) is a passive fish trapping equipment set in the castal areas,consisting of some parts utilizing fish life cycle in sea water.The Guiding barrier consists of leader net (penaju) part which has two wings, and end-bag part. The fish caught in guiding barrier are generally due to their movements in the sea hit the leader net and move toward the wing part and trapped in the end-bag part. The scientific information or data related to fish catch in diverse catching equipment are greatly needed as an underlying policy in managing the fishery resources in a water.This research aims at revealing the composition of fish catch type and size?length and weight) using guiding barrier in Juata Laut water. This research used a descriptive-quantitative method and was conducted from January-February 2021. The research data were collected using a purposive sampling technique for 8 sample-collection times.The research results show that the samples consisted of 22 fish types with a total of 581 fish. Flathead grey mullet(Mugil sp.) was the dominantly-caught fish sample.The length size composition of the main fish-catch samples dominantly caught using guiding barrier was at approximately 13.47-22.57 cm long (red snapper/Lutjanus sp.),22.39-26.97 cm (kuwel Caranx sp.) and 103.40-155.32 cm long (Flathead grey mullet/Mugil sp.). The sample compositions of fish weigh dominantly caught were Lutjanus sp.(59.78-297.84 gr), Caranx sp.?58.47-94.16 gr),and Megalops sp.(103.40-155.32 gr). The analysis results on the relationship between length and weight of the main fish samples caught using guiding barrier show a positive allometric growth pattern in Lutjanus sp.
