Perairan Desa Tanah Kuning memiliki potensi sumberdaya ikan yang tinggi. Salah satu alat tangkap yang sering digunakan nelayan desa Tanah Kuning adalah jaring insang. Penelitian tentang analisis tingkat selektivitas alat tangkap jaring insang telah dilakukan bulan April-Juni 2021. Indikator selektivitas yang digunakan adalah komposisi hasil tangkapan dan jumlah ikan yang layak tangkap. Indikator selektivitas ditentukan berdasarkan FAO 1995. Komposisi hasil tangkapan berdasarkan jumlah ikan, yaitu sebanyak 207 ekor dengan tangkapan utama (ikan Gulamah) 135 ekor (63,7 %). Hasil tangkapan yang layak tangkap sebanyak 112 ekor ( 83 %). Komposisi hasil tangkapan berdasarkan berat ikan, yaitu 40,83 kg dengan tangkapan utama (ikan Gulamah) 17,7 kg (42,5%).

The study was intended to analyze the plating rate of the capture in the Tanah Kuning sea based on the composition of captured fish and the size of captured fish. The study can inform fishermen that selective catches are vital to sustainable fisheries sustainability in Tanah Kuning Sea that have high fisheries potential and provide relevant insights into the capture of selectivities by the categories used. The main catch of the gulamah johnius belangerii fish was found in the composition of the main catch based on weight. The amount of catch and the size oh the fish worth a fish could be concluded that gill net catch would have a different attachment to the indicia, for the weight of the central catch of gill net’s capture would have a low concentration of 48,6 % of all the catch,whereas based on the amount of gill net choking high because it’s a dominant amount of 69,9 % of the overall catch, and based on the size worth capturing gill net grab tool has that crowding 83 % of the overall catch.
