Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh cara belajar matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 11 Tarakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif metode survey. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 91 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup untuk mengukur variabel cara belajar matematika dan dokumen untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika. Uji coba angket cara belajar matematika diperoleh 30 item pernyataan valid dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,895. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh cara belajar matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 11 Tarakan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana, dengan diperoleh hasil korelasi thitung sebesar 7,339, ttabel sebesar 1,662 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan R2 sebesar 0,377, maka didapatkan hasil thitung 7,339 > ttabel 1,662. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh cara belajar matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 11 Tarakan sebesar 37,7%.

This present study aimed at determining whether there was a significant effect of mathematics learning way towards mathematics learning achievement of the eighth grade students of SMPN 11 Tarakan. This study was a quantitative survey method. Ninety-one (91) students were participated in this survey. A closed questionnaire was used to measure the students’ way of mathematics learning and a document was taken to determine the achievement of student’ learning on mathematics. The questionnaire was firsly piloted and was obtained 30 valid statement items with a reliability of 0,895. The data were then analyzed using a simple linear regression. The result showed that there was an effect of mathematics learning way toward mathematics learning achievement of the eighth grade students of SMPN 11 Tarakan. From the results of simple linear regression calculation, it was obtained the significant correlation between those variables in which the r-test was 7.339, the t-table was 1.662 at the level of significance 5%, and the R2 was 0.337. It was also obtained the t-test which was greater than the t-table (7.339 > 1.662). It could be concluded that there was an effect of students’ mathematics learning was towards their mathematics learning achievement by 37.7%.
