Abstract
Ikan Lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) merupakan jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan sudah dibudidayakan secara komersil oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Produksi sering kali terhambat pada kegiatan pembenihan yang disebabkan adanya bakteri, parasit hingga jamur yang menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ketahanan benih Ikan Lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) yang diberi pakan campuran tepung kunyit terhadap bakteri A. hydrophila. Penelitian terdiri dari dua pelakuan yaitu benih ikan lele dumbo tidak diberi pakan tepung kunyit (P1) dan benih ikan lele diberi pakan dengan tambahan tepung kunyit 4,8 gram/kg pakan (P2). Parameter yang diamati terdiri dari respon makan, aktivitas renang, warna ikan, kelangsungan hidup, dan kualitas air. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan benih ikan lele dumbo diberi pakan dengan tambahan tepung kunyit 4,8 gram/kg pakan memiliki tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 63%. Gejala klinis ikan menunjukkan bahwa ikan terinfeksi oleh bakteri A. hydrophila yang ditunjukkan adanya perubahan warna serta perubahan respon makan, aktivitas renang. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air meliputi suhu berkisar 26-29oC, pH 6,5-8,5 dan amoniak 0,5-2,7 selama masa pemeliharaan. Hasil dari semua parameter yang diamati dan diukur menujukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan tamabahan tepung kunyit sebanyak 4,8 gram/kg pakan mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri A. hydrophila.

African catfish (C. gariepinus) is a freshwater fish with high economic value and has been cultivated commercially by the people of Indonesia. Production is often hampered in hatchery activities due to the presence of bacteria, parasites, and fungi which causes the low survival rate of catfish fry. The purpose of this study was to determine the resistance of African catfish (C. gariepinus) seeds fed a mixture of turmeric flour to A. hydrophila bacteria. The study consisted of two treatments: African catfish seeds were not fed turmeric flour (P1) and African catfish seeds were fed with additional turmeric flour 4.8 grams/kg feed (P2). Parameters observed consisted of feeding response, swimming activity, fish color, survival, and water quality. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that African catfish fry fed with turmeric flour added 4.8 grams/kg of feed had a 63% survival rate. The fish's clinical symptoms showed that the fish were infected by A. hydrophila bacteria, which was indicated by a change in color and changes in feeding response and swimming activity. The results of water quality measurements include temperatures ranging from 26-29oC, pH 6.5-8.5 and ammonia 0.5-2.7 mg/l, during the maintenance period. The results of all observed and measured parameters showed that feeding with the addition of turmeric flour as much as 4.8 grams/kg of feed was able to inhibit the growth of A. hydrophila bacteria.
