Abstract

Salah satu factor yang berperan dalam proses moulting kepiting bakau terdiri dari faktor eksternal dan faktor internal. Formula Oil Crab dan metode mutilasi dapat merangsang tubuh kepiting bakau melakukan pergantian kulit atau biasa disebut dengan Moulting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan lama waktu moulting kepiting bakau dengan menggunakan metode mutilasi dan penambahan formula Oil Crab. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 3 perlakuan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan 1 (Kontrol), Perlakuan 2 (penambahan formula Oil Crab) 0,1 mg/ekor, Perlakuan 3 (mutilasi) memotong seluruh kaki jalan kepiting bakau. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut kepiting bakau dapat Moulting seluruhnya pada perlakuan mutilasi di hari ke 19-26 dengan pertumbuhan berat badan mutlak mencapai rata-rata 24,40 gram. Sedangkan dengan metode penambahan formula Oil Crab dengan dosis 0,1 mg/ekor tidak memadai untuk kepiting bakau melakukan Moulting. pada akhir penelitian kepiting bakau dengan penambahan formula Oil Crab mencapai pertumbuhan berat badan mutlak bertambah mencapai rata-rata berat 19,60 gram. Data kualitas air selama penelitian menunjukkan suhu berkisar 27-32 oC, DO 6,4 -7,8 mg/l, salinitas15-18 ppt dan pH 7.

One of the factors affecting the mud crab moulting process was external and internal factors. the oil crab formula and mutilation method potentially caused the mud crabs body to change its shell, known as moulting. this study aimed to determine the difference in the moulting time of mangrove crabs using mutilaation method and oil crab formula addition. this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and five replication, consisting of treatment 1 (Control), Treatment 2 ( addition of Oil Crab Formula) With 0,1 mg/head, and treatment three (mutilation) by cutting the mangrove crabs whole leg. the results of this study showed that mangrove crabs were able to completely molt on days 19-26 after mutilation with absolute weigh growth reaching an avarage of 24.40 grams. meanwhile, adding Oil Crab formula at a dose of 0,1 mg/head was insufficient to mud crabs to do moulting. in conclusion, the mangrove craabs gained absolute weight of 19.60 grams average through Oil Crab formula addition. the water quality showed that temperature ranged between 27 and 32 oC, DO was 6,4 to 7,8 mg/l, salinity was 15-18 ppt, and pH was 7.
