Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rasa senang siswa dalam belajar dengan metode role play. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas dua yang pada waktu penelitian ini berlangsung mereka pada semester satu di SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan. Jumlah siswa yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa. Peneliti mengambil satu kelas sebagai sampel dari empat kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Peneliti melakukan pengamatan untuk memperoleh data tentang sikap siswa selama belajar di dalam kelas, dan memberikan kuesioner kepada siswa yang bersangkutan untuk mendapatkan data tentang tingkat ketertarikan siswa dan tingkat kegembiraan mereka belajar dengan role play. Rekaman video digunakan sebagai data pendukung. Hasil dari data kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa 57,69% siswa senang belajar dikelas role play, 15,38% siswa sangat senang, dan ada 26,92% siswa merasa cukup senang. Hasil dari data pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa 65,38 % siswa bersikap baik di dalam kelas role play, ada 19,23% siswa bersikap sangat baik , dan 11,53% siswa yang acuh tak acuh. Data dari rekaman video digunakan sebagai data pendukung dalam penelitian ini.




The objective of this research was to describe joyful learning experience in role play teaching technique in SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan. The research design used descriptive quantitative. Respondents of this research was the second grade of students in the first semester in SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan. The number of students in this research were 26 students. Researcher took one class of the four classes as the sample. Observation sheet used to collect data about students’ behavior in role play class. Questionnaire filled by the students was to collect the data about the degree of students’ interest and students’ excitements in learning by using role play. Video recorder used to support the data taken from questionnaire and observation sheet. The data analyzed and transferred into simple percentage form. The result of questionnaire showed that 57,69% of students were joyful in role play class, 15,38% students were highly joyful and there were 26,92% students were moderate joyful in learning. The result of observation sheet showed that 65,38 % students’ behavior was good, there were 19,23% students’ behavior was very good and 11,53% of students’ behavior indifferent. It can be concluded that the most of students were enjoy in role play class.
