Abstract
Pengetahuan tentang data hama dan penyakit tanaman padi merupakan bagian penting dari strategi pengendalian organisme pengganggu tersebut (OPT). Penelitian ini bertujuan; (1) mengetahui jenis hama dan penyakit yang dominan pada tanaman padi, serta upaya pengendalian hama dan penyakit pada tanaman padi di wilayah DAS Sesayap, khususnya Kabupaten Tana Tidung. Lokasi pengambilan data di Tideng Pale, Gunawan, Sesayap Hilir, Rian, dan Tana Merah. Tiap-tiap lokasi dilakukan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 5 (lima) titik dengan menggunakan perangkap jebak, perangkap nampan kuning, dan wawancara. Serta, pengamatan langsung terhadap gejala penyakit dan pengelolaan OPT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 15 spesies hama kelompok insekta, 4 hama non insekta, dan 2 gejala penyakit. Nilai indeks kekayaan (R), kemerataan (E), dan keankeragaman (H’) hama insekta tertinggi di lokasi Gunawan (R=2.74., E=0.84, dan H’=2.27). Indeks kesamaan menunjukkan Tideng Pale dan Gunawan memiliki kesamaan komposisi spesies tertinggi (100%). Spesies Leptocorisa oratoria (walang sangit) dan Arphia conspersa (belalang) memiliki hubungan erat dengan habitat di Tideng Pale dan Gunawan. Penyakit tanaman bercak coklat tertinggi di Tana Merah, dengan nilai intensitas kerusakan tidak mutlak sebesar 79.2%. Selanjutnya, pengelolaan dilakukan dengan pemilihan benih, pemupukan, pengaturan jarak tanam, dan penggunaan pestisida yang masih bertumpu pada penggunaan pestisida sintetik.

The knowledge about the data of pest and disease on rice plants is an important part of the control strategy from the plant disturbing organisms. The objectives of this study were; (1) to find out the types of dominant pest and disease on rice plants, as well as the control effiorts of pest and disease on rice plants in the region of Sesayap watershed in Tana Tidung Regency. The locations of data collection located in Tideng Pale, Gunawarn, Sesayap Hilir, Rian and Tana Merah In each location, the sample was collected from the five-plots of fields by using pitfall trap. yellow tray trap, and interview. And also, the direct observation towards the discase symptons and the management of plant disturbing organisms was also conducted. The results of the study showed that there were 15 pest species of insects, 4 pest species of non-insects, and 2 disease symptoms. The highest value of wealth index (R), evenness index (E) and diversity index (H) was located in Gunawan (R-2.74; E-85; and H-2.27). The similarity index showed that Tideng Pale and Gunawan had the highest similarity of species composition (100%). The species of Leptocorisa onatoria and Arphia conspersa had closed relationship to the habitats in Tideng Pale and Gunawan. The highest plant disease of brown spot was in Tana Merah with the damage intensity value of not absolute of 79.2%.Furthermore, the management was carried out by selecting seed, fertilization, plant spacing arrangement, and synthetic pesticide usage.
