
Aplikasi Ekstrak Daun Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) Terhadap Populasi Kutu Daun (Aphids craccivora) Pada Tanaman Kacang Panjang

Abstract
Daun pepaya merupakan salah satu alternatif bahan pestisida nabati. Ekstrak tanaman ini berpotensi untuk mengendalikan populasi hama kutu daun yang merupakan hama penting pada usaha budidaya tanaman kacang panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; (1) mengetahui pengaruh pestisida nabati berbahan baku ekstrak daun pepaya untuk mengendalikan populasi hama kutu daun pada tanaman kacang panjang; dan (2) membandingkan pengaruh ekstrak daun pepaya dengan kombinasi pemberian nutrisi tanaman atau senyawa lainnya terhadap populasi kutu daun pada tanaman kacang panjang. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak daun pepaya 50%, serta perlakuan penambahan nutrisi yakni green tonic, multinonic, dan sabun cair pada perlakuan pemberian ekstrak daun pepaya. Masing-masing perlakukan di ulang sebanyak 7 kali, sehingga terdapat 35 unit percobaan. Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians non-parametrik yakni uji Kruskal-Wallis dan Uji Wilcoxon untuk membandingkan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan; (1) pengaruh pestisida nabati berbahan baku ekstrak daun pepaya dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan populasi hama kutu daun dan mampu mengurngi populasi kutu daun, namun tidak signifikan dalam mengurangi kerusakan daun, bunga dan polong; (2) perlakuan ekstrak daun pepaya yang ditambahkan dengan aplikasi nutrisi tambahan (green tonic) cenderung memiliki perbedaan pengaruh dengan perlakuan lainnya.

Papaya leaves are an alternative to vegetable pesticides. this plant extract has the potential to control the population of aphids, which are importan pest in the cultivation of long bean plants. this research aimed to (1) to determine the effect of vegetable pesticides made from papaya leaf extract to control the population of aphids on long bean plants, and (2) to compare the effect of papaya leaf extract with a combination of plants nutrition or other compounds on the population of aphids in long bean plants. the study used a randomized block design (RBD) with a concentration of papaya leaf extract treatment at 50%, and the addition of nutrients, namely green tonic, multitonic, and liquid soap in the treatment of papaya leaf extract. each treatment was repeated 7 times, to that there were 35 experimental units. data were analiyzed using non-parametric analysis of variance, namely the kruskal-wallis test and the wilcoxon tes to compare between treatmens. the research results showed that: (1) the effect of vegetable pesticides made from papaya leaf extract can be used to control the population of aphids and be able to reduce the aphids population, but it is not significant in reducing damage to leaves, flowers and pods, and (2) the treatment of papaya leaf extract which was added with the application of additional nutrients (green tonic) tended to have different effects with other treatments.
