Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari peleksanaan strategi QAR dalam mengajar pemahaman membaca pada materi teks recount pada siswa kelas delapan di MTs Al-Fatah Tarakan. Adapun rumus masalahnya; Apakah pelaksanaan dari strategi QAR efektif dalam mengajar pemahaman membaca pada materi recount text. Penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen design dengan menggunakan metode one shot case study. Kelas eksperimen dalam penelitian ini diambil dari siswa kelas VIII-a MTs Al-Fatah Tarakan yang terdiri dari 18 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan perlakuan (treatmen) terhadap peleksanaan dari strategi QAR di materi recount text kepada kelas eksperimen kemudian dilakukan posttest. Penggumpulan data menggunakan instrument observasi checklist, wawancara, kuesioner dan tes. Instrument diberikan setelah kelas ekperimen diberikan perlakuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan dari strategi QAR efektif dalam mengajar reading comprehension di recount text. Pada pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji z pihak kanan tersebut diperoleh zhitung = 1.245 dan pada daftar normal standar dengan ? = 0,05 diperoleh nilai z= 1,64. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H1: >nilai KKM (75) diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari pada nilai KKM. Selain itu, ketuntasan belajar kelas eskperimen hanya mencapai 77.78%.

In this research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of implementation of QAR strategy in teaching reading comprehension on recount text at the eighth grade students of MTs Al-Fatah Tarakan. The formula of the problem; is the implementation of the strategy QAR effective in teaching reading comprehension in recount text material. This research was a pre-experimental design using one-shot case study. The class experiment in this research was taken from class VIII-a MTs Al-Fatah Tarakan consisting of 18 students. The research was conducted by giving treatment in the implementation of the QAR strategy on the recount text the experimental group then conducted posttest. Collecting data using the instrument of observation checklists, interviews, questionnaires and test. Instrument given after treatments. Results from this research showed that the implementation of QAR strategy effective in teaching reading comprehension on recount text. At the hypothesis test used the z test right side obtained Zcount =1.245 and the standard normal list with ?=0.05 was obtained value of z=1.64. This suggested that H1: ?>KKM (75) was received. It could be concluded that the mean value of learning out comes was greater than the experimental class in the KKM. Moreover, experiment class learning completeness reached only 77.78%
