Abstract
Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April-Mei 2015 di SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-experiment design (nondisigns) dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015, dan sampel yaitu kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, tes dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS 16.0 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data secara statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test diperoleh Zhitung (-5,014) lebih kecil dari probabilitas (?=0.05). Hal ini membuktikan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan.
The purpose of research was to know the effectiveness learning strategy of Learning Start With A Question in study result IPA at VIII Grade Student of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. The research hold on April-May 2015 at SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. The research design of this study was use Pre-experiment design (nondisigns) with the population was the all student at VIII Grade Student of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan 2014/2015, and sample was class of VIII-6 as experiment class. The technique of sample by using purposive sampling and the technique of data collection by using documentation, test, and observation sheet. The data analyze by using software SPSS 16.0 for windows. Based on the result of analysis the data of statistic by using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test was got score Z result (-5,014) is smaller than the probability (?=0.05). The result of analysis to prove that Ho was decline and Ha was accept. So it can be the conclusion was learning strategy of Learning Start With A Question in study result IPA at VIII Grade Student of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan.
