Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team-Achievement Divisions) terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa biologi kelas VIII SMP Don Bosco Tarakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai bulan November-Desember 2013 di SMP Don Bosco Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII dan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Cluster purposif sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil analisis model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team-Achievement Divisions)terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa biologi kelas VIII SMP Don Bosco Tarakan diperoleh aktivitas thitung 1.276 < ttabel 1.671 dan hasil belajar thitung 0.132< ttabel 1.671. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team-Achievement Divisions) terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa biologi kelas VIII SMP Don Bosco Tarakan.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model STAD (Student Team - Achievement Divisions ) on the activity and student learning outcomes eighth grade biology junior Don BoscoTarakan. This study dilakuakan starting in November-December 2013 in the Don Bosco junior Tarakan. This type of research is the study of Quasi Experiments with the entire student population and a sample of eighth grade two class .The sampling technique used cliser purposive sampling and data collection techniques using tests , observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16.0 for Windows .
