Abstract
Copyright is a basic right attached to the creator of the work in which it is manifested, so that access to copyright is very easy and many parties often abuse it. This can be seen during the covid-19 epidemic, which called for working from home including teaching and learning activities, so that many parties, especially lecturers, used teaching materials from various sources illegally, for example e-books. Whereas it is clear in the Copyright Law number 28 of 2014 that those who take advantage of economic rights and moral rights are only the creators or copyright holders. Therefore this research is aimed at dealing with other people who do not have the right to take advantage of other people's work to be presented both in online lectures and for offline presentations, so that the Creator or Copyright holder needs to get protection if the lecturer uses the e-book illegally or does not include who the author of the e-book. The results obtained in this study protect creators and copyright holders from using e-books illegally by prioritizing Economic Rights and Moral Rights as a manifestation of respecting the work of others
