Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk mengembangkan bahan ajar siswa berupa modul pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi ekosistem untuk siswa SMP kelas VII. Ciri dan Karakteristik modul ini adalah (1) Setiap konsep dihubungkan dengan situasi dunia nyata yang dihadapi siswa, tugas-tugas yang diberikan dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. (2) Modul dirancang untuk menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang konstruktivis. Karena itu berbagai konsep tidak langsung dideskripsikan dalam modul, tetapi harus ditemukan siswa melalui berbagai aktivitas. (3) Mengedepankan paradigma pembelajaran melalui penemuan, bukan pembuktian. Sehingga siswa lebih mudah untuk memahami apa itu ekosistem di sekitar kita, komponen, dan interaksi yang terjadi dalam ekosistem. Pada modul terdapat tiga kegiatan pembelajaran dan 63 halaman. Modul dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) ini diharapkan mampu untuk memenuhi aspek kelayakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan Plomp (1997). Pelaksanaan penelitian terdapat empat tahap yaitu: 1) analisis produk; 2) mengembangkan produk awal; 3) validasi dan revisi; 4) uji coba lapangan dan revisi produk. Hasil penelitian ini berupa modul pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi ekosistem untuk siswa SMP kelas VII. Modul pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dikembangkan untuk memenuhi aspek kelayakan yang dihitung oleh tiga ahli yaitu ahli media 81,25% (sangat layak), ahli materi 81,81% (sangat layak), ahli praktisi 98,86% (sangat layak) dan angket respon siswa yaitu 83,01% (baik).

The this research aims to develop an instructional materials in the form of students learning module approachment Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the material ecosystem for junior high school students of class VII. Traits and characteristics of the module are (1) Each concept linked to real world situations faced by students, given tasks associated and daily life of students. (2) Module is designed to create a constructivist learning process. Therefore, various concepts are not directly described in the module, but students must be found through a variety of activities. (3) Promoting the paradigm of learning through discovery, not proof. So the students easier to understand what the ecosystem around us, components, and interactions that occur in ecosystems. In the module there are three learning activities and 63 pages. The module approachment Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is expected to be able to meet aspects expediency. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D) and reference to the development model Plomp (1997). Implementation of research there are four stages: 1) analysis of the product; 2) develop the initial product; 3) validation and revision; 4) field testing and product revision. The results of this study are science learning module approachment Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the material ecosystem for junior high school students of class VII. Learning modules to approachment Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) was developed to meet the eligibility aspect which is calculated by the three experts that media experts 81.25% (very reasonable), subject matter experts 81.81% (very reasonable), expert practitioners 98.86% (very reasonable). and student questionnaire responses are that is 83.01% (good).
