Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Mei 2016 di SMP Negeri 9 Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dan sampel sebanyak dua kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 16.0 for windows dengan teknik analisis menggunakan uji Independent sample t-test. Analisis data Pretest dan Posttest dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh hasil menunjukkan thitung (5,897) lebih besar dibandingkan ttabel (1,671). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Tarakan.


This research was conducted on May 2016 at SMP Negeri 9 Tarakan. Kind of this research is quasi-experimental with the research design is Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Population of this research was the the students of class VII and the sample was about two classes. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis was done by using software SPSS 16.0 for windows and technique of analyzing the data was done by using independent sample T-test. Data analysis was Pretest and posttest by using T-test and the result of data analysis showed that t arithmetic (5,897) is higher than t table(1,671). Based on the results of data analysis it concluded be that there are is effect of using Problem Based Instruction Learning Model in Class VII SMP Negeri 9 Tarakan.
