
Perbedaan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Direct Instruction Dan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa MTs Negeri Tarakan

Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Maret 2016 di MTs Negeri Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Comparation Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri Tarakan kelas VII-A dan VII-B, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 22.0 for windows dengan teknik analisis menggunakan uji Independent sample t-test. Hasil analisis perbedaan penerapan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction dan Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada aspek pengetahuan diperoleh thitung ttabel (-8.262 ? 2.000), pada aspek keterampilan diperoleh thitung ? ttabel (-2.811 ? 2.000), dan pada aspek sikap sosial diperoleh thitung < ttabel (-1.793 < 2.000) dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan dk = 62. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan penerapan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction dan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan biologi siswa MTs Negeri Tarakan. 2) Terdapat perbedaan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction dan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar aspek keterampilan biologi siswa MTs Negeri Tarakan. 3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar aspek sikap sosial biologi siswa MTs Negeri Tarakan.
This research was conducted in March 2016 at MTs Negeri Tarakan. This research was quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Comparation Group Design. The population of this research was the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Tarakan which were in the class VII-A and VII-B, the sample was selected using purposive sampling. The data was Analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software for windows, and using Independent sample t-test. The result showed that the difference of direct instruction learning and discovery learning implementation on students’ learning outcome based on knowledge aspect gained tcount ? ttable (-8.262 < 2.000), skill aspect gained tcount ? ttable (-2.811 ? 2.000), and social behavior aspect gained tcount < ttable (-1.793 < 2.000) with the significance level of 0,05 and f = 62. Based on the data analysis result can be concluded that: 1) There was a difference between the Direct Instruction learning and Discovery Learning implementation on knowledge aspect of students learning outcome of Biology at MTs Negeri Tarakan. 2) There was a difference between the Direct Instruction learning and Discovery Learning implementation on skill aspect of students learning outcome of Biology at MTs Negeri Tarakan. 3) There was no difference between the Direct Instruction learning and Discovery Learning implementation on social attitude aspect of students learning outcome of Biology at MTs Negeri Tarakan.
