Perlindungan Hak Eksklusif dalam Hak Cipta yang terdiri atas Hak Ekonomi dan Hak Moral semakin terabaikan, karena hak-hak Pencipta yang telah memakan waktu, biaya dan tenaga tidak dihargai. Nilai karya cipta yang merupakan perwujudan nuansa seni, sastra dan ilmu pengetahuan sering dilakukan penggandaan, menyalin untuk tujuan komersil tanpa seizin Pencipta sebagai perwujudan nilai ekonomi dan perlindungan Hak Ekonomi yang semakin menipis. Selain itu, elemen Hak Moral yang berdampak pada pengabaian reputasi Pencipta yang terbagi atas Hak Atribusi dan Hak Integritas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dengan isu terkait dengan konsep dan perlindungan Hak Ekonomi dan Hak Moral dalam Hak Cipta adalah permasalahan hukum yang semakin penting, meskipun Undang-Undang Hak Cipta yang baru telah mengaturnya secara kompleks. Konsep Hak Ekonomi dan Hak Moral dalam Hak Cipta termuat dalam Pasal 5 dan Pasal 8 Undang-Undang Nomor 28 tahun 2014, bahwa Hak Ekonomi merupakan hak Pencipta untuk menikmati hasil karyanya dan menggandakan sendiri akan tetapi dapat dialihkan dengan cara lisensi. Selain itu terdapat juga Hak Terkait yang dimiliki oleh pelaku pertunjukan dan produser. Sedangkan Hak Moral merupakan hak yang melekat abadi dan tidak dapat hapus oleh apapun, sehingga diperlukan perlindungan yang bersifat represif dan preventif.
