Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada ketrampilan membaca dengan menggunakan pre-questioning technique pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN I Peso. Metodologi dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Peso yang beralamat di Jl.S. Moming. RT. 02. No. 12. Desa Long Bia, Kecamatan Peso. Kabupaten Bulungan dimulai sejak Mei 2014 sampai Juni 2015. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Peso yang berjumlah 25 orang. Berdasarkan kriteria ketuntasan menunjukan bahwa teknik pre-questioning telah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam kemampuan membaca. Ini bisa dibuktikan dari tes membaca dan lembar observasi untuk aktifitas guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tes pada siklus 1 terdapat 72% dari 25 siswa yang tuntas dan hanya 28% yang gagal dan siklus II terdapat 80% dari 25 siswa dan hanya 20% yang gagal. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik pre-questioning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada ketrampilan membaca siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Peso.

The objective of this research was to improve the students achievement on reading comprehension through pre-questioning on reading comprehension at second grade students of SMAN 1 Peso in academic year 2014/2015. The design of this research was classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in SMAN 1 Peso located on Jl. S. Moming. RT. 02. No.12. Desa Long Bia. Kecamatan Peso. Kabupaten Bulungan started from May until June 2015. The objective of this research was student at clas XI IPS SMAN 1 Peso which consist of 25 students. Based on the criteria of success this result showed that pre-question thnique can improve students achievement and increase the students comprehension on reading. This was proven from the result from reading comprehension test, students’ and teacher’s observation. From the reading comprehension test result on cycle 1 there was 72% of 25 students and only 28% were failed and cycle II there was 80% of 20 students and only 20% were failed. Based on the result, it can be concluded that pre-questioning technique can improve the students achievement on reading comprehension at class XI IPS of SMAN 1 Peso.
