Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi guru dalam proses belajar mengajar di SMP Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Mei – Juni. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, dokumen analisis, panduan pertanyaan dan dokumen yang berisi informasi yang diperlukan sebagai dasar yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan masalah dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini yaitu ada beberapa masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam proses persiapan pembelajaran membaca, proses mengajar dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan dari persiapan guru, guru telah menyiapkan perangkat seperti silabus dan rencana pembelajaran dalam satu semester. Proses mengajar sudah cukup baik tetapi ada beberapa komponen yang harus dilengkapi oleh guru dan untuk evaluasi pembelajaran banyak siswa yang mencapai KKM.

The purpose of this study was to describe the problems faced by teachers in teaching and learning in SMP Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted in May s / d June 2016. The data were collected through observation sheet, document analysis, and interview guide and documents to obtain the information needed as a basis for describing the problem faced by teachers in the learning process. The results of this study indicate that there are some problems faced by teachers in teaching reading preparation, teaching process and teaching evaluation. Based on the teacher preparation, the teacher already done for the syllabus and lesson plan in one semester. The teaching process was good enough but there are some components that should complete by teacher. And for the teaching evaluation most of students reach the KKM.
