Latar Belakang: Penelitian melaporkan sekitar 4,5% remaja pria dan 0,7% remaja wanita usia 15-19 tahun yang telah melakukan aktivitas seksual pra nikah, bahkan tercatat 1% -2% dari kasus tersbut mengakibatkan penyakit HIV (human immunodefisiensi virus) yang mulai terdeteksi pada usia 25 tahun. Berdasarkan data di SMA Negeri 3 Malinau pada tahun 2022, 7 siswi putus sekolah dikarenakan hamil, bahkan pada tahun 2023 sebanyak 13 siswi yang harus berhenti mencapai cita-cita karena hamil, sehingga diperlukan upaya serius untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi dengan perilaku terhadap seks bebas di SMA 3 Kabupaten Malinau.
Subjek dan Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional di SMA 3 Malinau pada bulan Mei Tahun 2024. Populasi penelitian adalah 155 siswa putra dan putri. Sampel penelitian adalah 67 siswa. Variabel independent adalah pengetahuan remaja dan variabel dependen adalah perilaku seks bebas. Instrument penelitian adalah kuesioner tentang seks bebas meliputi (kissing, necking, petting dan intercourse)Analisis data menggunakan uji bivariat chi square.
Hasil: Mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik yaitu 46 siswa (69.7%). Dari 67 responden didapatkan hasil 35 responden yang berprilaku mengarah kepada seks bebas (51.5%). Hasil analisis chi square diketahui hasil p value adalah 0.490 > 0.05. hasil ini memberikan interpretasi bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan terhadap kesehatan reproduksi dengan perilaku seks bebas.
Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan bukan faktor signifikan dan utama yang menyebabkan siswa melakukan seks bebas, perlu dikaji faktor lain yang berpengarus secara signifikan.

Background: The research showed about 4.5% of adolescent boys and 0.7% of adolescent girls aged 15-19 years have engaged in premarital sexual activity. From these, 1%-2% had the potential to be infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) which is usually detected at the age of 25. Based on data from SMA Negeri 3 Malinau in 2022, there were 7 students dropped out of school due to pregnancy and this number increased to 13 students in 2023. This condition requires serious efforts to overcome the problem. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between adolescents' knowledge level about reproductive health and behavior towards free sex in SMA 3 Malinau Regency. The subject and method of this study used a cross sectional design approach in May 2024 with a population of 155 male and female students of SMA Negeri 3 Malinau. The study population was 155 male and female students. The research sample was 67 students. The independent variable was adolescent knowledge and the dependent variable was free sex behavior. The research instrument was a questionnaire about free sex covering kissing, necking, petting and intercourse behavior. The data analysis used the Chi Square Bivariate test. Results: The majority of respondents had good knowledge, namely 46 students (69.7%). A total of 35 respondents (51.5%) showed behaviors that lead to free sex. The chi-square test showed a p- value of 0.490 (>0.05), which indicates that there was no significant correlation between the level of knowledge about reproductive health and promiscuous sex behavior. Conclusion: The level of knowledge about reproductive health was not a significant factor affecting the free sex behavior in students.
