Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. Sebelum pengambilan sampel dilakukan, peneliti terlebih dahulu melakukan uji kesetaraan menggunakan uji anava satu jalur. Tujuan dari uji kesetaraan adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa kelompok-kelompok populasi yang digunakan setara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Tarakan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 61 siswa yaitu 30 siswa kelas IX-9 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 31 siswa kelas IX-7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes yaitu posttest yang masing-masing terdiri dari 4 soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan uji anava satu jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan, hal ini sesuai dengan hasil perhitungan uji anava satu jalur diperoleh nilai Fhitung : 6,629159 > Ftabel : 4.003983. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji komparasi ganda dengan metode Scheffe, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) lebih berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan pengujian hipotesis dan nilai rata-rata kedua kelas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan.

This research aims to evaluate the impact of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on the mathematics communication abilities of 9th-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan. This research employs an experimental design utilizing a post-test-only approach with non-equivalent groups. Before sampling was carried out, researchers first conducted an equality test using the one-way ANOVA test. The objective of the equality test is to demonstrate that the demographic groups utilized are equivalent. The participants in this study were all ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri Tarakan during the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample considered employed purposive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 61 students, 30 from class IX-9 as the experimental class and 31 from class IX-7 as the control class. Data was collected utilizing tests, specifically post-tests, each of which contained four questions. Data analysis strategies employing descriptive analysis techniques and a one-way ANOVA test. The results indicated that there was an effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on the mathematics communication skills of ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarakan, which is consistent with the results of the calculation of the one-way ANOVA test obtained. Fcount: 6.629159 > Ftabel: 4.003983. In addition, a multiple comparison test was performed using the Scheffe technique, and the results revealed that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model had a greater impact on students' mathematical communication skills than the standard learning model. By verifying the hypothesis and comparing the average values of both classes, it is possible to infer that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model has an influence on the mathematics communication abilities of ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4.
