Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) Berbasis Android pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan Untuk Siswa SMP/MTs Kelas VIII Di Tarakan dan untuk mengetahui karakteristik Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) Berbasis Android serta untuk menghasilkan
produk Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) Berbasis Android yang diharapkan mampu memenuhi kriteria layak sebagai media pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Reseach and Development (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan Sutopo (2003). Pelaksanaan penelitian terdapat lima tahap yaitu : 1) Concept, (Konsep), 2) Design (Perancangan), 3) Material collecting (pengumpulan bahan), 4) Assembly (pembuatan), 5) Testing (pengujian). Media ini akan divalidasi oleh 3 orang validator yaitu validator ahli media, validator ahli materi dan ahli praktisi. Uji coba produk untuk mengetahui respon siswa dilakukan di SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan pada kelas VIII sebanyak 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik media Augmented Reality (AR) Berbasis Android berupa aplikasi android berformat .apk yang dapat diunduh di google playstore dengan nama AR Digestive System. Media berisi teks materi dan gambar objek tiga dimensi yang terintegrasi antara dunia virtual dengan dunia nyata secara bersamaan. Dibuat secara manual dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak (software) Vuforia, Unity 3D Engine, Blender, Adobe Photoshop CS6 64bit., SketchUp, Mono Develop, Android SDK. Hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 89.7%, dengan kategori sangat layak, ahli materi sebesar 86.7% dengan kategori sangat layak, hasil angket ahli praktisi (guru IPA) sebesar 93.0% dengan kategori sangat layak dan hasil angket respon siswa sebesar 87.6% dengan katagori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) Berbasis Android pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan Untuk Siswa SMP/MTs Kelas VIII sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah.
The objective of this research were to develop learning media of Biology subject by using Augmented Reality (AR) Technology Based on Android System in digestion system at second grade students of Junior High School in Tarakan, to find out the characteristic Augmented Reality (AR) Technology Based on Android System and to produce the learning media of Biology subject by using Augmented Reality (AR) Technology Based on Android System which is expected being able to fulfill the criteria as a proper learning media. The research design of this research used Research and Deveploment (R&D) which had refered to model of Sutopo (2013). This research had five steps; concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly and Testing. This learning media had been validated by three experts, they are media expert, material expert, and practical expert. The experiment was done to find out the students responds. It had been held in SMPN 8 Tarakan at the second grade students which had 27 students. The result of this research showed that the characteristic Augmented Reality (AR) Technology Based on Android System is an android application which has .apk format. This application can be downloaded on google playstore. The application is called AR Disgestive System. This product contains some texts and the 3D pictures which are integrated with the virtual to real world in real time. It was made manually by some software, which are; Vuforia, Unity3D Engine, Blender, Adobe Photoshop CS6 64bit.,SketchUp, Mono Develop, Android SDK. Based on the result of the research, the media expert showed very good criteria which is 89.7%, the material expert showed very good criteria which is 86.7%, the practical expert (collected by using questionnaire) showed very good criteria which is 93.0% and the students’ responds (collected by using questionnaire) showed very good criteria which is 87.6%. It can be concluded that the using Augmented Reality (AR) Technology Based on Android System in digestion system at second grade students of Junior High School as the learning media of Biology subject is very good to be applied in the school.
