Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran kartu bergambar untuk membaca permulaan. Penelitian media pembelajaran kartu bergambar yang digunakan selama proses pembelajaran ditinjau dari validasi ahli media, bahasa, materi, dan praktisi. Selanjutnya penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui respon siswa dan keefektifan terhadap media pembelajaran kartu bergambar dalam proses pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas 5 tahapan penelitian yaitu; Analyzs (Analisis), Design (Desain), Development (Pengembangan), Implement (Implementasi), dan Evaluate (Evaluasi). Hasil kelayakan media pembelajaran dari hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh persentase sebesar 90%, ahli bahasa sebesar 74,2%, ahli materi sebesar 70%, ahli praktisi sebesar 95%. Hasil uji coba respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran kartu bergambar memperoleh persentase sebesar 97,4%, pada uji coba lapangan sebesar 98,3%, dan keefektifan media pembelajaran sebesar 90,6%. Disimpulkan bahwa dari hasil validasi ahli media, bahasa, materi, dan praktisi menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran kartu bergambar untuk membaca permulaan siswa kelas II berada pada kategori sangat layak, dan hasil uji coba terbatas, uji coba lapangan, dan keefektifan media pembelajaran menunjukan bahwa respon siswa dan keefektifan media pembelajaran kartu bergambar berada pada kategori sangat menarik dan efektif untuk digunakan.

The objective of this research is to develop picture cards learning media for beginning reading. The research of picture cards learning media for beginning reading was used during the learning process which was validated from the experts of media, the linguists, the experts of material, and practitioners. Furthermore, the research was also conducted to determine students' responses and the effectiveness of picture cards learning media in the learning process. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the ADDIE development model. This model comprises five research stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the feasibility of learning media from the results of media expert validation obtained 90%, linguist of 74.2%, material expert of 70%, practitioner of 95%. The results of the students' response in trial to the picture cards learning media for beginning reading obtained 97.4%, in the field trial of 98.3%, and the effectiveness of the picture cards learning media for beginning reading was 90.6%. It was concluded that the results of the validation of the expert of media, linguist, the expert of material, and practitioner, were conclusive. The findings showed that the picture cards learning media for beginning reading of the second-grade students were deemed to be highly feasible. Moreover, the results of limited trials, field trials, and the effectiveness of the learning media showed that students' responses and the efficacy of the picture cards learning media for beginning reading were in the category of very interesting and effective to use.
