Abstract

Kedisiplinan adalah suatu sikap mengikuti dan menaati semua peraturan dengan tertib dan teratur serta dilaksanakan dengan penuh kesadaran dan bertanggung jawab. Kurangnya kedisiplinan ditemukan di SMP Nageri 14 Tarakan, banyak kendala kedisiplinan pada peserta didik seperti, terlambat masuk sekolah, atribut seragam yang kurang lengkap dan beberapa peserta didik sering terlambat mengumpulkan tugas ataupun tidak mengerjakan tugas. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut perlu dilaksanakannya layanan dengan teknik self-management. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik self-management terhadap kedisiplinan peserta didik di SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-experiment one-group pretest-posttest. Jenis pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan populasi sebanyak 191 peserta didik dan sampel berjumlah 10 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrument berupa skala likert tentang kedisiplinan. Analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji wilcoxon signed rank. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, perhitungan uji wilcoxon signed rank dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh teknik self-management terhadap kedisiplinan peserta didik di SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan.

Discipline is an attitude of following and obeying all rules orderly and regularly and carrying them out with full awareness and responsibility. Some students lack discipline at SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan, many discipline problems students have included being late for school, having incomplete uniform attributes, and some students being late in collecting assignments or not doing assignments. Efforts that can be made to overcome these problems need to implement services with self-management techniques This study aims to determine the effect of self-management techniques on student discipline at SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan. This type of research was quantitative with a pre-experiment one-group pretest-post-test approach. The sampling in this study was a purposive sampling technique, with a population of 191 students and a sample of 10 students. The data collection technique in this study used an instrument in the form of a Likert scale about discipline. Data analysis with descriptive and inferential statistics using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Based on the results of this study, the Wilcoxon signed rank test with a Sig value is calculated. (2-tailed) of 0.000 0.05, then Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. So, self-management techniques affect student discipline at SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan. Keywords: Self-Management, Discipline
