Pada tanah lunak sistem pondasi tradisional yang lazim dipakai untuk pondasi bangunan kayu adalah pondasi kacapuri.. Melihat sistem konstruksinya pondasi Kacapuri sangat sederhana dengan aspek kapasitas dukungnya tergolong sebagai pondasi dangkal, dan belum diketahui secara pasti kapasitas dukungnya khususnya di Kelurahan Lingkas Ujung RT.18 Kota Tarakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kapasitas dukung pondasi Kacapuri double beam pada tanah lunak Kelurahan Lingkas Ujung RT.18 Kota Tarakan menggunakan perhitungan teoritis pondasi dangkal menurut Terzaghi dan uji lapangan static load compression test. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian kapasitas dukung pondasi Kacapuri doble beam pada tanah lunak di daerah, di Kelurahan Lingkas ujung RT. 18 Kota Tarakan. didapat kapasitas dukung pondasi Kacapuri double beam di lapangan dengan beban optimum adalah sebesar 6,40 ton/m2. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan kapasitas dukung teoritis pondasi dangkal Terzaghi didapat sebesar 10,78 ton/m2

On the traditional foundation system which generally used for wooden building foundation is kacapuri foundation. Seeing the construction system, kacapuri foundation is very simple which the the support capacity is classified as the shallow foundation, and there are no more informations about the capacity support espescially at the Kelurahan Lingkas Ujung RT. 18 Kota Tarakan. This research aims to know the capacity of Kacapuri double beam foundation support on soft soil at the Kelurahan Lingkas Ujung RT. 18 Kota Tarakan by using shallow foundation theoretical calculation based on Terzaghi theory and static load compression test. There were Kacapuri double beam support with optimum load was 6.40 tons/m2. While based on the calculation result by using Terzaghi theory there was 10,78 ton/m2.
