Pendahuluan : Kelas ibu hamil merupakan suatu kelompok belajar yang ditunjukkan untuk ibu-ibu hamil dengan umur kehamilan antara 4-36 minggu atau saat menjelang persalinan dengan jumlah peserta maksimal 10 orang.
Tujuan : bagaimana gambaran karakteristik ibu hamil yang mengikuti kelas ibu hamil di wilayah kerja puskesmas Sebengkok kota Tarakan.
Metode : penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode deskriptif. Dengan jumlah 150 sampel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner terkait karakteristikibu hamil dan rekam medik.
Hasil : Uji analisis menggunakan distribusi frekuensi data didapatkan responden terkait dengan karakteristik usia menunjukkan bahwa dari 150 responden, kelompok usia dengan responden terbanyak berada pada kelompok dengan usia kurang dari 20 tahun yaitu sebanyak 85 responden (57%), sedangkan kelompok usia dengan responden yang paling sedikit adalah kelompok usia > 35 tahun yaitu sebanyak 9 responden (6%). Terkait karakteristik paritas menunjukkan bahwa dari 150 responden, kelompok paritas paling banyak adalah paritas 1 sebanyak812 responden (54%), dan paritas 2 sebanyak 69 responden (46%). Terkait karakteristik pekerjaan menunjukkan bahwa dari 150 responden, kelompok aktifitas ibu yang paling banyak adalah tidak bekerja sebanyak 92 responden (61%), dan ibu yang bekerja sebanyak 58 responden (39%). Terkait karakteristik ekonomi menunjukkan bahwa dari 150 responden, kelompok tingkat ekonomi terbanyak berada pada kelompok ekonomi < 1.500.000 yaitu sebanyak 85 responden (57%), sedangkan kelompok ekonomi dengan responden yang paling sedikit adalah kelompok ekonomi > 3.500.000 yaitu sebanyak 6 responden (4%).Simpulan : Usia ibu tertinggi pada kelompok usia < 20 tahun sebanyak 85 responden (57%), gravida ibu tertinggi yaitu pada gravida 1 sebanyak 81 responden (54%), Pekerjaan ibu tertinggi yaitu tidak bekerja sebanyak 92 responden (61%) dan Status ekonomi ibu tertinggi yaitu ekonomi < 1.500.000 sebanyak 85 responden (57%).
Saran : Diharapkan dapat dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang karakteristik pengetahuan ibu tentang kelas ibu hamil dengan metode penelitian yang berbeda, variabel yang berbeda, jumlah populasi dan sampel yang lebih banyak, sehingga akan diperoleh hasil yang lebih baik.

The pregnant women's class is a study group designed for expectant mothers with a gestational age between 4 and 36 weeks or just before delivery with a maximum of 10 members. The purpose of this study was to characterize the traits of expectant mothers who attend prenatal classes in the working area of the Sebengkok health center, Tarakan city. A descriptive method was used for the research, utilizing 150 samples in total. A questionnaire on the traits of expectant mothers and medical records was used to gather data. Using test analysis and frequency distribution of data collected from respondents regarding age characteristics, it was found that, out of 150 respondents, the age group with the greatest number of respondents 85 or 57% was under the age of twenty. Conversely, the age group with the fewest respondents, 9 responders, or 6%, were older than 35. With regard to gravida characteristics, the data indicated that out of 150 respondents, the gravida 1 group had 812 respondents (54%), while the gravida 2 group had 69 respondents (46%). In terms of job characteristics, it revealed that, out of 150 respondents, 92 respondents (61%), or moms who were not working, and 58 respondents (39%), ог mothers who were working, made up the most active group. In terms of economic features, it revealed that, out of 150 respondents, the economic group with the highest degree of economic activity was the < 1,500,000 economic group, which included 85 respondents (57%), while the economic group with the fewest respondents was the > 3,500,000 economic group, which included 6 respondents (4%). Among the respondents under 20, 85 (57%), had the highest maternal age; 81 (54%), had the highest maternal gravida (gravida 1); 92 (61%) had the highest maternal occupation (not working); and 85 (57%), had the highest mother's economic status (economic < 1,500,000).
