Abstract

Di Indonesia, pepaya merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang tergolong kedalam tanaman hortikultura yang dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat. Pepaya salah satu tanaman yang memiliki khasiat pada kandungan buahnya yang terdiri dari vitamin A, vitamin B1, B3, B5, vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin C, likopen, serat, kalsium, potasium, folat dan magnesium. Produksi pepaya di Kalimantan Utara mencapai 232.031 kuintal pada tahun 2022 (BPS, 2022). Peningkatan pertumbuhan bibit tanaman pepaya dapat dilakukan dengan cara aplikasi zat pengatur tumbuh alami dari ekstrak bonggol pisang dan rebung bambu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor yaitu : K0 = kontrol (tanpa zpt), K+ (zpt sintetis), K1 ((bonggol pisang 25%), K2 rebung bambu (25%), K3 (bonggol pisang 50%), K4 (rebung bambu 50%), K5 (bonggol pisang 75%), K6 (rebung bambu 75%), K7 (bonggol pisang 100%), K8 (rebung bambu 100%). Parameter yang diamati meliputi: Kecepatan Berkecambah, Presentase Berkecambah, Tinggi Tanaman, Jumlah Daun, Diameter Batang, Berat Basah, Berat Kering. Data dianalisis menggunakan Sidik Ragam dan diuji lanjut dengan DMRT. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian K7 (bonggol pisang 100%) berpengaruh terhadap Kecepatan berkecambah (0.33%), Presentase berkecambah (2.2%) Tinggi tanaman 2 MST (2,38 cm), 4 MST (7,73 cm), 6 MST (7,83 cm), 8 MST (34,28 cm), 10 MST (69 cm). Jumlah daun 2 MST (1.50 helai), 4 MST dengan nilai (3,83 helai), 6 MST dengan nilai (8,5 helai), 8 MST (18,17 helai), 10 MST (24,5 helai). Diameter batang (19,54 mm), berat basah (162,33 gram), berat kering (20,83 gram).

In Indonesia, papaya is a significant agricultural product within the horticultural sector, widely cultivated by local farmers. This fruit is renowned for its numerous health benefits, containing essential nutrients such as vitamins A, B1, B3, B5, E, K, and C, along with lycopene, fiber, calcium, potassium, folate, and magnesium. In 2022, North Kalimantan recorded a papaya production of 232,031 quintals (BPS, 2022). The growth of papaya seedlings can be enhanced by applying natural growth regulators extracted from banana pseudostems and bamboo shoots. This study utilized a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single variable: KO control (no growth regulators), K+ synthetic growth regulator, KI = 25% banana pseudostems, K * 2 = 25% bamboo shoots, K * 3 = 50% banana pseudostems, K * 4 = 50% bamboo shoots, K * 5 = 75% banana pseudostems, K * 6 = 75% bamboo shoots, K7 = 100% banana pseudostems, and K * 8 = 100% bamboo shoots. The parameters evaluated included Germination Rate, Germination Percentage, Plant Height, Leaf Count, Stem Diameter, Wet Weight, and Dry Weight. Data analysis was conducted using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Results indicated that treatment K7 (100% banana pseudostems) significantly influenced the Germination Rate (0.33%) and Germination Percentage (2.2%). Measurements of Plant Height were noted at 2 MST (2.38 cm), 4 MST (7.73 cm), 6 MST (7.83 cm), 8 MST (34.28 cm), and 10 MST (69 cm). Leaf counts recorded were 2 MST (1.50 leaves), 4 MST (3.83 leaves), 6 MST (8.5 leaves), 8 MST (18.17 leaves), and 10 MST (24.5 leaves). The Stem Diameter was also measured at 19.54 mm, Wet Weight at 162.33 grams, and Dry Weight at 20.83 grams. Keywords: Banana Pseudostems, Bamboo Shoots, Growth Regulator, Papaya
