Stimulus dapat berupa fisik atau emosional, dan rasa sakit adalah keadaan yang disebabkan oleh stimulus tersebut. Alasan paling umum untuk operasi perut darurat adalah radang usus buntu. Pembedahan merupakan salah satu terapi penyakit usus buntu. efek nyeri pada pasien setelah operasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap proses penyembuhan. Pasien yang baru sembuh dari penyakit usus buntu dapat mengatasi ketidaknyamanannya dengan terapi nonfarmakologis, seperti metode relaksasi Benson. Diharapkan bahwa individu yang kesakitan dapat mengambil manfaat dari terapi ini sebagai alternatif, khususnya pasien pasca operasi. Tujuan penulisan KIAN ini untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi penerapan intervensi inovasi teknik relaksasi Benson terhadap pasien post appendictomy. Metode penulisan ini berupa laporan kasus (case report) dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan, penulis menggunakan metode laporan kasus dengan 2 pasien dengan diagnosis post appendictomy, dengan 1 pasien diterapkan relaksasi sesuai SPO RS dan 1 pasien diterapkan relaksasi sesuai SPO RS ditambahkan dengan relaksasi Benson, dengan hasil membuktikan bahwa teknik relaksasi Benson yang diberikan selama 3 hari dalam waktu 20 menit setiap hari menunjukkan adanya penurunan tinggkat nyeri, Setelah menggunakan pengobatan metode relaksasi Benson, nyeri pasien pasca operasi usus buntu berkurang dari sedang menjadi ringan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi relaksasi Benson dapat membantu pasien dewasa yang mengalami nyeri pasca operasi usus buntu di ruang rawat inap.

Pain is a condition that results from the stimulation of specific nerves or other sensory receptors. This stimulation can be caused by physical or mental stimuli Appendicitis represents the most common case of abdominal surgery. One of the treatments for appendicitis is surgical intervention. The impact of pain in postoperative patients on postoperative healing is a significant factor to consider The pain experienced by patients who have post appendectomy can be managed through the use of non-pharmacological treatments, such as Benson relaxation techniques. This therapy is expected to be used as an alternative therapy to treat pain patients, particularly the patients who have surgical procedures. The purpose of the study was to identify and evaluate the implementation of innovative interventions of benson relaxation techniques to post appendectomy patients. This study used a case study method in the form of implementing nursing care. The researcher employed a case report method with two patients diagnosed of post- appendectomy. One patient underwent relaxation therapy in accordance with the hospital's standard procedure, while the other received the hospital's standard procedure added with Benson relaxation techniques. The results obtained that the benson relaxation technique given for 3 days within 20 minutes every day shows a decrease in pain levels, from moderate to mild in post appendectomy patients. It concluded that the Implementation of Benson relaxation therapy to post appendectomy pain in adult patients at the inpatient room can reduce pain levels.
