Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model problem based learning berbasis blended learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA. Variabel yang diukur yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan tes tertulis yang telah disesuaikan dengan indikator berpikir kritis. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan aplikasi software SPSS version 25 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 43,24 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 63,05. Hasil uji t dua sampel berpasangan pada taraf signifikansi α 0,05 diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang berarti 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian erlakuan model problem based learning berbasis blended learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Namun, berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain yang telah dilakukan memperoleh skor 0,36 dengan klasifikasi skor 0,7 < N-Gain ≤ 0,3, pengaruh model model problem based learning berbasis blended learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur tergolong ke dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa hal, yaitu sumber belajar yang terbatas, siswa tidak terbiasa dengan soal pemecahan masalah, siswa kurang aktif selama proses pembelajaran, dan media belajar yang kurang memadai.

This study aimed to examine the effects of a problem-based learning model based on blended learning on the student’s critical thinking skills in class XI IPA MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur. This type of research is pre-experimental using a group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was taken using a saturated sampling technique. The research sample was class XI IPA. The variable measured was students’ critical thinking skills. The data in this study were collected using written tests that had been adapted to critical thinking indicators. The data were analyzed by SPSS version 25 for Windows software application. Based on the results of the study, the average pretest score was 43.24 and the average posttest score was 63,05. The results of the two-sample paired t-test at the significance level α 0.05 obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 which means 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This showed that there was an effect of the problem-based learning model treatment based on blended learning on students’ critical thinking skills. However, based on the N-Gain test results, a score of 0.36 was obtained with a score classification of 0.7 < N-Gain ≤ 0.3. This implies that the effect of the problem-based learning model based on blended learning on the critical thinking skills of students in class XI IPA MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur was classified into the medium category. This was caused by several things, including limited learning resources, unfamiliar with problem-solving promblems, less active students during the learning process, and inadequate learning media.
