Abstract
Tanah Clay Shale memilki karakteristik yang unik Dimana akan mengalami pelapukan jika beraksi dengan air dan udara, material tanah Clay Shale cukup banyak ditemukan dibeberapa wilayah Indonesia. Banyak permasalahan yang terjadi pada kontruksi sipil yang berdiri pada lapisan tanah Clay Shale, beberapa proyek kontruksi Gedung maupun jalan terjadi keruntuhan saat proses Pembangunan saat sedang berlangsung, faktor diatas yang menyebapkan perlunya dilakukan stabilisasi pada tanah Clay Shale. Penelitian ini sampel akan dilakukan pengujian sifat fisis dan mekanis Dimana data tanah asli akan dibandingkan dengan tanah stabilizer (70% Fly Ash + 30% kapur ) dengan presentase 15%, 20%, 25% dan pemeraman selama 14 hari, 21 hari, dan 28 hari. Dimana semua sampel yang diuji ditambahkan dengan kadar air +5% dari kadar air optimum pada masing masing campuran. Hasil pengujian tanah asli CBR sebesar 22,71% dan UCT 1,32 kg/cm2 penambahan stabilizer dan pemeraman mempengaruhi peningkatan CBR sebesar 110% dan UCT sebesar 38,25% dimana peningkatan tersebut terjadi diprosentase 15% dengan masa peram 28 hari. Stabilizer juga berpengaruh pada uji sifat fisis kadar air dan indeks plastisitas yang mengalami penurunan dan peningkatan pada berat jenis tanah Clay Shale. Tanah yang telah distabilisasi diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan timbunanan sub Grade jalan.

Clay Shale Soil has unique Characteristic, Which Experience Weathering if it reacts whit water and air. This soil material is quite widely found in several regions of of indonesia. However, many problems occur in civil constructions that stands on clay shale soil layers, namely several building and road construction that stands on clay shale soil layers, namely several building and road construction projects experiencing collapse during the construction proses in this regard, stabilization of clay shale soil needs to be done. This research tested the physical and mechanical properties, namely this original soil data compared with the stabilizer soil.( 70% Flay Ash + 30% lime) using precentages of 15%, 20%, and 25% and curing for 14 days, 21 days, and 28 days, All samples tested were added with 5% moisture content of the optimum moisture content in each mixture. The results of the original soil test CBR of 22,71% and UCT of 1,32 kg/cm2 with the addition of stabilizer also affected the test results of properties of moisture content and plasticity index which had decreased and increased in the specific gravity of clay shale soil.
