Abstract

Kemampuan literasi membaca adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki seseorang dalam melafalkan kata, menemukan informasi serta memahami setiap makna yang ada pada bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil kemampuan literasi membaca siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 004 Lumbis. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan literasi membaca yang kemudian dikonfirmasi dengan proses wawancara. Sebanyak 8 siswa kelas V yang menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian dan mengerjakan tes kemampuan literasi membaca, yang kemudian dikelompokkan berdasarkan kategori kemampuan literasi membaca tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Setelah itu peneliti memilih 3 siswa yang mewakili setiap kategori kemampuan literasi membaca untuk diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) subjek dengan kategori tinggi mampu menemukan informasi, mengidentifikasi perubahan dalam elemen intrinsik, menyimpulkan, membandingkan penokohan, menilai kesesuaian ilustrasi, dan merefleksikan pengetahuan dengan baik. (2) subjek dengan kategori sedang mampu menemukan informasi, mengidentifikasi perubahan dalam elemen intrinsik, membandingkan penokohan, menilai kesesuaian ilustrasi, dan merefleksikan dengan baik, namun subjek kurang memahami isi bacaan, tidak berhati-hati dalam memilih jawaban, dan tidak dapat menentukan gagasan utama dalam bacaan. (3) subjek dengan kategori rendah belum mampu menemukan informasi, mengidentifikasi perubahan dalam elemen intrinsik, menyimpulkan, membandingkan penokohan, menilai kesesuaian ilustrasi, dan merefleksikan pengetahuan. Kesulitan yang dialami subjek dengan kategori rendah adalah kesulitan dalam membaca.

Reading literacy ability is the ability of person in pronouncing the words, find information and understand every meaning in reading. This research aimed to describe the results of reading literacy skills of class V students at SD Negeri 004 Lumbis. This research used descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through a reading literacy ability test which was confirmed by an interview process. A total of 8 students at the fifth grade participated in the research and took reading literacy skills tests, which were then grouped based on the categories of high, medium and low reading literacy skills. After that, the researcher selected 3 students representing each category of reading literacy ability to be interviewed. The research results showed that, (1) Subjects in the high category were able to find the explicit information, identify changes in intrinsic elements, infer feelings and character traits, draw up inferences, compare characterizations, assess the suitability of illustrations, and reflect knowledge well. In solving AKM reading literacy questions, the subject got difficulties because they were not careful in choosing the answers, (2) Subjects in medium category were able to find out the explicit information, identify changes in intrinsic elements, infer feelings and character traits, compare characterizations, assess the suitability of illustrations, and reflect knowledge well. In solving AKM reading literacy questions, the subject had difficulties due to not understanding the content of the reading, not being careful in choosing answers, and not being able to determine the main idea in the reading, (3) Subjects in the low category had not been able to find explicit information, identify changes in intrinsic elements, infer feelings and characteristics of characters, formulate inferences (conclusions), compare characterizations, assess the suitability of illustrations, and reflect knowledge well. Then, in solving the AKM reading literacy questions, the subject got difficulties due to difficulty in reading (cannot read fluently).
