
Pancasila Student Profile Embedded In English Textbook “Work In Progress” For The First Grade Of Senior High School

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur profil pelajar Pancasila yang tersemat dalam buku teks bahasa Inggris berjudul “Work in Progress” untuk kelas pertama sekolah menengah atas. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi. Unit analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah unsur profil pelajar Pancasila. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar tabel data unsur profil pelajar Pancasila dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Data dikumpulkan dari buku teks bahasa Inggris “Work in Progress” untuk kelas pertama sekolah menengah atas. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar memuat enam dimensi profil pelajar Pancasila. Dimensi yang paling sedikit disematkan adalah berkebhinekaan global dengan jumlah 9 kali (4.2%). Dimensi Beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan berakhlak mulia disebutkan sebanyak 23 kali (10,9%). Dimensi kreatif disematkan sebanyak 29 kali (13,7%) dan dimensi bergotong royong disematkan sebanyak 39 kali (18,3%). Dimensi mandiri disematkan sebanyak 48 kali (22,6%) . Namun diantara keenam dimensi tersebut, bernalar kritis merupakan dimensi yang paling dominan dengan sebanyak 64 kali (30,2%) tersemat dalam buku teks. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku teks Bahasa Inggris “Work in Progress” untuk kelas pertama sekolah menengah atas sudah sesuai dengan bahan ajar yang mengembangkan nilai-nilai profil pelajar Pancasila, karena didalamnya tersemat seluruh dimensi profil pelajar Pancasila dalam buku teks.

This research aimed to investigate the elements of the Pancasila student profile embedded in the English textbook entitled “Work in Progress” for the first grade of senior high school. A qualitative approach using the content analysis method was employed. The unit of analysis used in this research was the Pancasila student profile element. The data were collected from the English textbook “Work in Progress” for the first grade of senior high school which were then arranged in a data sheet table containing elements of Pancasila student profile based on the Ministry of Education and Culture. Data analysis technique was carried out through data condensation, data displays, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research showed that the textbook contained six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The dimension that was mentioned the least was global diversity with a total of 9 times (4.2%). The dimension of faith, fear of God Almighty, and noble character was mentioned 23 times (10.9%). The creative dimension was pinned 29 times (13.7%), and the dimension of mutual cooperation was identified 39 times (18.3%). The independent dimension was spotted 48 times (22.6%). However, among the six dimensions, critical reasoning was the most dominant dimension with 64 times (30.2%) embedded in the textbook. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the English textbook “Work in Progress” for the first grade of senior high school was in accordance with teaching materials that developed the values of the Pancasila student profile, because it embedded all dimensions of the Pancasila student profile in the textbook.
