Abstract

Ikan patin (P. hypophthalmus) merupakan jenis ikan konsumsi air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon ikan patin siam (P. hypophthalmus) dari indukan yang telah diperbaiki sistem reproduksinya dengan konsep epigenetik melalui uji tantang cekaman suhu. Metode penelitian dengan cara pengamatan tingkah laku, menghitung gerakan operculum, mortalitas, penurunan bobot tubuh ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gerakan rata-rata operculum pada suhu 18 oC pada perlakuan kontrol sebanyak (115,25 ± 4,21 kali), vitamin C (140,5 ± 3,20 kali), katuk (118,0 ± 4,81 kali), katuk-vitamin C (128,0 ± 1,08 kali). Kemudian suhu 38 oC pada perlakuan kontrol sebanyak (158,75 ± 4,32 kali), benih ikan patin siam dengan perlakuan vitamin C sebanyak (137,75 ± 1,54 kali), katuk sebanyak (129,25 ± 1,97 kali), katuk dan vitamin C sebanyak (181,5 ± 9,85 kali). Penurunan bobot rata-rata suhu 18 oC pada katuk-vitamin C (1,05 ± 0,2 gram), katuk (0,825 ± 0,2 gram), vitamin C (0,83 ± 0,2 gram), kontrol (0,475 ± 0,1 gram). Selanjutnya suhu 38 oC katuk sebanyak (1.73 ± 0.28 gram), katuk-vitamin C (1.05 ± 0.33 gram), kontrol (0.78 ± 0.10 gram), vitamin C sebesar (0.25 ± 0.06 gram). Mortalitas pada suhu 18 oC katuk sebesar (6% ± 1,15), vitamin C (7% ± 4,12), katuk-vitamin C (12% ± 2,82) dan kontrol (26% ± 5,77). Selanjutnya suhu 38 oC mortalitas benih ikan patin kontrol (27% ± 4.43), vitamin C (4% ± 2.82), katuk (12% ± 2.82), katuk-vitamin C (0% ± 0.0). Peningkatan performa reproduksi induk patin dengan pemberian ektrak katuk, vitamin C, dan katuk dan vitamin C mampu meningkatkan performa benih yang dihasilkan.

Catfish (P. hypophthalmus) is a freshwater consumption fish with high economic value This study aimed to describe the response of Siamese catfish (P. hypophthalmus) from broodstock that has improved its reproductive system with the concept of epigenetics through a temperature stress challenge test. Research methods were observing behavior and calculating operculum movement, weight loss, and mortality. The result study showed the average operculum movement at 18 oC in the control treatment was (115.25 +4.21 times), vitamin C(140.5\pm3.20 times), katuk (118.0±4.81 times), katuk-vitamin C (128.0±1.08 times). Then the temperature of 38 oC in the control treatment was (158.75 4.32 times), Siamese catfish seeds with vitamin C treatment were (13775\div1.54 times), katuk was (129.25\pm1.97 times), katuk and vitamin C were (181.5\pm9.85 times). The average weight loss at 18 oC in katuk-vitamin C (1.05 + 02 grams), katuk 0.825\pm0.2 grams), vitamin C (0.83 +0.2 grams), control (0.475±0.1 grams). Furthermore, at 38 oC, katuk (1.73±0.28 grams), katuk-vitamin C(1.05\div0.33 grams), control 10.78\pm0.10 grams), vitamin C(0.25\pm0.06 grams). Mortality at 18 oC katuk was 16\%\pm 1.15), vitamin C(7\%=4.12) katuk-vitamin C (12\%\pm2.82) and control (26\%\pm5.77) Furthermore, at 38 C, the mortality of catfish fry was control (27% =4.43), vitamin C(4\%=2.82). katuk (12\%\pm2.82) katuk-vitamin C (0\%\pm0.0) Improving the reproductive performance of patin parents by giving katuk extract, vitamin C, and katuk-vitamin C can improve the performance of the resulting seeds.
