Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan di kelas 3 yaitu kurangnya bahan bacaan yang sesuai dengan kemampuan membaca siswa khususnya dikelas III, siswa belajar membaca menggunakan buku bacaaan yang tidak disesuaikan pada keterampilan membaca siswa. Buku cerita jenjang C merupakan media bagi siswa yang masih dalam tahap pengenalan huruf sampai siswa yang bisa membaca, karena buku bacaan jenjang memiliki strategi membaca yang bertingkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku cerita jenjang C yang layak untuk digunakan dalam proses membaca, ditinjau dari hasil validasi ahli desain, ahli bahasa, dan ahli desain, serta angket respon siswa saat uji coba. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu Analisis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Hasil validasi ahli desain diperoleh sebesar 85%, termasuk kategori sangat layak, ahli bahasa diperoleh sebesar 82%, termasuk kategori sangat layak, ahli isi diperoleh sebesar 80%, termasuk kategori layak. Hasil angket respon siswa pada uji coba terbatas diperoleh sebesar 100%, termasuk kategori sangat menarik, dan pada uji coba lapangan diperoleh sebesar 98,9%, termasuk kategori sangat menarik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi serta angket respon siswa, maka buku cerita jenjang C dinyatakan sebagai bahan bacaan yang layak untuk digunakan dalam proses membaca.

One issue in class III is that there aren't enough reading resources for the students' reading level. In particular, class III learners learn to read by using reading books that aren't tailored to their reading abilities. Due to the multi-level reading method of level reading books, level C story books serve as a medium for students who are still in the process of identifying letters to students who can read. This research aimed to produce C-level story books that are suitable for use in the reading process, reviewed from the validation results from linguists and design experts, as well as student response questionnaires during the trial. This study falls under the category of research and development (R&D), and it follows the five steps of the ADDIE model research procedure: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation scores for the design experts were as high as 85%, which included the very eligible category; for the language experts, they were as high as 82%, which also included the very eligible category; and for the content experts, they were as high as 80%, which included the eligible category. In the limited test, the student response questionnaire yielded results as high as 100%, including the highly interesting category, and as high as 98.9% in the field test, including the same category. The level C storybook is deemed appropriate for use in the reading process based on the findings of the validation test and the responses from the students on the questionnaire.
