Abstract

Tingkat kemampuan membaca siswa kelas awal yang masih rendah menjadi permasalahan yang banyak di temukan di Sekolah Dasar. Buku bacaan jenjang merupakan media bagi siswa yang masih dalam tahap pengenalan huruf sampai siswa yang bisa membaca, karena buku bacaan jenjang memiliki strategi membaca yang bertingkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku bacaan jenjang B1 yang layak untuk digunakan dalam proses membaca, ditinjau dari hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli media, dan ahli praktisi, serta angket respon siswa saat uji coba. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu Analisis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh sebesar 82,5%, termasuk kategori sangat layak, ahli bahasa diperoleh sebesar 80%, termasuk kategori layak, ahli materi diperoleh sebesar 93,3%, termasuk kategori sangat layak. Hasil angket respon siswa pada uji coba terbatas diperoleh sebesar 97,6%, termasuk kategori sangat baik, dan pada uji coba lapangan diperoleh sebesar 99%, termasuk kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi serta angket respon siswa, maka buku bacaan jenjang B1 dinyatakan media pembelajaran yang layak untuk digunakan dalam proses membaca.

The low level of reading ability of early-grade students is a problem that is often found in primary schools. Level reading books are a medium for students who are still in the stage of recognizing letters to students who can read because level reading books have a level reading strategy. This research aims to produce B1-level reading books that are suitable for use in the reading process, reviewed from validation results from the material, language, media, and practitioner experts, as well as student response questionnaires during trials. This research is a typo of Research and Development using ADDIE model research procedures which consists of five stage; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation results obtained by media experts were 82,5%, including the very appropriate category, language experts obtained 80%, including the appropriate category, material experts obtained 93,3% including the very appropriate category, and practitioner experts obtained 76%, including the appropriate category. The results of the student response questionnaire in the limited trial were 97,6%, including the very good category, and in the fiend trial results were 99%, including the very good category. Based on the results of validation tests and student response questionnaire, B1-level reading books were declared appropriate learning media for use in the reading process.
