
Analisis Pengendalian Mutu Produksi Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Dengan Menggunakan Metode Six Sigma (Studi Kasus Pada Perusahaan PT TMSJ II )

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab kenaikan kadar asam lemak bebas, kadar air, dan kadar kotoran yang melebihi standar untuk mengatasi permasalahan yaitu dengan menggunakan metode Six Sigma melalui tahapan pendekatan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan mendefinisikan masalah standar kualitas dalam proses produksi dan berdasarkan perhitungan nilai Sigma, rata-rata tingkat 3,264 dengan kemungkinan kerusakan sebesar 27.503,3 untuk sejuta kali proses produksi (DPMO). Adapun perhitungan dengan diagram pareto yang memiliki nilai persentase yaitu kadar asam lemak bebas 0,86%, kadar air 0,13%, dan kadar kotoran 0,02%. Berdasarkan pengendalian kualitas bisa dikatakan bahwa perusahaan cukup memberikan manfaat dalam upaya mengurangi kegagalkan produk akan tetapi belum maksimal. Sehingga perlu disarankan perusahaan meningkatkan kapabilitas Sigma dan meningkatkan proses dengan cara melakukan perbaikan terhadapat mesin, bahan baku, metode serta pembinaan dan pengawasan kerja karyawan.

This study aimed to identify the factors causing the increase in free fatty acid levels, water content, and impurities content that exceeds the standard to overcome the problems by using the Six Sigma method through the stages of the DMAIC approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Based on the resul of data processing that had been done, it defined the problems of quality standards in the production process, and based on the calculation of the Sigma value, the average Sigma level is 3.264 with a probability of damage of 27.503,3 for a million production processes (DPMO). The calculation process by using the pareto diagram had a percentage value of the free fatty acid content of 0,86%, the water content was 0,13%, and the dirt content was 0,02%. Based on quality control, it can be said that the company provided sufficient benefits in an effort to reduce product failure, but it was not maximized. So it is necessary to suggest companies improve Sigma’s capabilities and improve processes by making improvements to machines, raw materials, and methods as well as coaching and supervising employee work.
