Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media gambar dapat mengatasi kesulitan membaca siswa di SDK Frater Don Bosco Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (PTBK) dengan menggunakan model siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, test dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, bahwa pada siklus I siswa cukup senang dan semangat dalam belajar dengan menggunakan media gambar. walaupun masih banyak kekurangan pada siklus I dikarenakan mereka sebelumnya belum pernah merasakan pembelajaran yang bervariasi seperti penggunaan media gambar pada dasarnya dikategorikan belum cukup baik. sedangkan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan dimana siswa tertarik dengan media gambar dan ada pendampingan intensif dari peneliti sehingga siswa mampu mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan guru dengan tuntas, tertib dan kondusif.

This research aimed to find out how image media can overcome the reading difficulties of students in SDK Frater Don Bosco Tarakan. This type of research was guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) using the cycle model.. Each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation, test, and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it could be concluded that in cycle I, students were quite happy and enthusiastic in learning by using image media. Although there were still many deficiencies in the use of cycle I because they had never experienced learning that was varied such as the use of image media, it was basically categorized as not good enough. While in cycle II there was an increase where students were intersted in image media and there was an increase where students were interested in image media and there was intensive assistance from researchers so that students were able to complete the tasks given by the teacher in a thorough, orderly and conducive manner.
