Abstract

Sungai Pamusian yang berada di Kecamatan Tarakan Timur berpotensi mengalami pencemaran karena aktivitas manusia di sepanjang bantaran Sungai Pamusian seperti limbah dari rumah tangga karena berdekatan dengan padat pemukiman dan limbah dari Pasar Tenguyun. Sungai sebagai salah satu komponen lingkungan yang memiliki fungsi penting bagi kehidupan manusia termasuk untuk menunjang pembangunan perekonomian. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kualitas air di Sungai Pamusian melalui analisis parameter Total Suspended Solid (TSS) dan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022 – Januari 2023 di Sungai Pamusian Kota Tarakan Kalimantan Utara. Penentuan lokasi di tentukan secara purposive sampling, lokasi pertama berada di Kawasan Pelabuhan, lokasi kedua di Kawasan Industri, dan lokasi ketiga di Pasar Tenguyun. Metode uji parameter TSS dan TDS menggunakan gravimetri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kandungan Total Susupended Solid (TSS) di sungai pamusian cukup bervariasi, pada saat pasang berkisar antara 184-300 mg/L, jika dibandingkan dengan nilai pada saat surut lebih rendah yaitu berkisar 70-130 mg/L. Sedangkan Hasil konsentrasi Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) pada saat pasang berkisar antara 15.957-8.460 mg/L, dan pada saat surut berkisar antara 11.292-5.423 mg/L. Nilai rata-rata Total Susupended Solid (TSS) sebesar 100 mg/L dan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) 1000 mg/L telah melebihi baku mutu.

The Pamusian River, which is in East Tarakan District, has the potential to be polluted due to human activities along the banks of the Pamusian River, such as household waste because it is close to dense settlements and waste from the Tenguyun Market. The river serves a vital role for human life as one of the environmental factors, including fostering economic growth. This study aimed to analyze the quality of water in the Pamusian River through the analysis of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) parameters. This research was conducted in November 2022 - January 2023 at the Pamusian River, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan. Location determination was determined by purposive sampling, the first location was in the Port Area, the second location was in the Industrial Area, and the third location was in the Tenguyun Market. TSS and TDS parameter test methods used gravimetric. The findings revealed that the Pamusian River's Total Suspended Solid (TSS) concentration was extremely variable, ranging from 184 to 300 mg/L during high tide compared to 70 to 130 mg/L at low tide. Meanwhile, the concentration of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) at high tide ranged from 15,957-8,460 mg/L, and at low tide, it ranged from 11,292-5,423 mg/L. Based on water quality standards according to Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, the average value of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) for river water was 100 mg/L and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) 1000 mg/L exceeded the quality standard.
